Really helpful video! Question: Which verbs and prepositions do you usually use to ask if a certain transport passes near a needed destination? For example, I want to go to a certain shop by bus. Do I ask: "Этот автобус идёт до магазина (name)?" or do I use Проходит около (or any other preposition)?

Ok, i understood left and right, so.......I need a a guide......... but now I am more aware of what I don't know, does that make sense?

I visited Russia with a Russian phrasebook in my pocket and no Russian speaking ability. I think I will learn this lesson so that I can repeat these sentences like a talking parrot! Hopefully I can travel to Russia again.

is "жд вокзал" just an abbreviation of "железнодорожный вокзал"? Are there any other examples of abbreviations like this where the abbreviated letters are spoken, instead of the actual words? For example in english we have abbreviations such as "btw" meaning "by the way". When speaking, we never say each of the letters out loud "b t w" we actually say "by the way", its only abbreviated in writing. So do russians always say the abbreviated letters or only for somethings? Thanks for the video!
