That’s a nice driver. I wish I still had the ‘69 and ‘71 GTOs of my youth! Have you ever considered having a camera pointing toward the tach and speedometer while rowing through the gears? Be interesting to see the shift points. He probably doesn’t take that on the highway much. I’d guess close to 4000 rpm at around 70mph.
Favorite model years of the Shelby’s were 67/68. Maybe not as quick as what’s available today but it will always have place in my garage in my mind. Happy enough with my plane Jane 69 fastback.
What are those tabs on the top of the roll bar hoop? For lights when used in a convertible? That thing looks, and sounds, AWESOME! Looks like it could maybe use some stiffer shocks though.
I had a '68 GT 350 3 speed automatic. Different cam, taller gears. Would do 60mph at redline in first gear. Top speed 130 mph. It was no rocket but a fun car. Definitely needed more horsepower.
I was a lot younger, and it was sitting in this warehouse for the longest time and it was the 350gt model, I think the old man passed away, I tried to find out who's was owning it at the time but had no luck
I was living in Norfolk Virginia at the time and I'm always traveling on Bainbridge Blvd towards Chesapeake Virginia too hit the highway to Portsmouth Virginia and rite before the interstate was this old building and a nice size that I can remember with the big picture window and you can see the white mustang Shelby 350gt with the blue stripes and it was so dirty in the inside of the building like nobody has been there for year's
The owner looks like he doesn't appreciate you revving his never over 100 mph pampered Shelby 😂 did he need a nerve pill when you got done with him??!!😅
