This was a fabulous discussion. Growing up very similar myself, I found this one worth commenting on, I appreciate the transparency, it is a powerful thing, mental health, and illness, and art is just such a great medicine. Thank you, Erik.

Just had an evening for myself, pulled out the new vinyl, read through the lyrics, looking through the artwork, what a masterpiece. An album is more than just a specific song! I discovered Mephorash as early as 2013, I always said that music should be interpreted by the listener, and this interview makes it very clear that Erik has the same view. Probably why Mephorash always has been one of my go to artists

Good discussion. And agree that the comfort zone is the enemy. I used to complain a lot myself 10 years ago. A guy told me on a party that I should stop complaining about everything. And instead of being passive aggressive I told him that he was 100 % right. I definitively should not complain much, and I changed. So this guy is now a good friend, not just someone I talk to while drinking.

Comfort is also a big problem for people diving into occultism.I know so many who won't manage to do a basic daily meditation and read some important books. People who succeed in this are very few, most just touch the surface and continue by bragging about it.
