I LOVE LOVE LOVE this Ocean Goddess acrylic pour :) I love blue so that helps too LOL I think this one turned out so awesome!! It' a new favorite LOL I used contact paper for this one and it worked pretty good - it did bubble up a little and the paint leaked under but I was able to fix it. I have figured out a better way to seal a vinyl silhouette and it works great with no leaks. If interested please watch this latest video: • (102) Magical Unicorn ...

"A big white canvas staring at me..."...yes, my dear...these are the perfect words for what is going on here since december! It is huuuge and so I felt too shy to catch it and colour it! Niw I need a lot of material to go ahead. 4ft x 5ft canvas and now I start to paint the silhouette of a lion for my best friend's birthday on sunday. She is a leo in horoscope and her name is Leonie. A lion is the perfect present! "...staring at me..." 😄😁👍🏻 So true... 👋🏻😉

Weel. I can watch this over and over again, and my brain get stimiulatet every time. This video was my first experience with pouring techniques and it is also my favourite. I love the idea of creating an expressing. I have tried different techniques, but it often ends up getting muddy😅 (it's really hard, to keep my fingers from it) I love to express myself, and every time I have a hard time thinking creatively, I think about this video. It is very inspiring and it gives me the courage to try again, so the pictures ends with the expression I want. Thank you for that. 🦋 Greetings from Denmark. ❤

I believe the contact paper would have worked perfect if before the pour you put a clear mate varnish or white paint along the edge of the contact paper & face. Let dry, then pour. It’s a trick stencilers use so paint won’t bleed under. Gorgeous pours though!!! 😊💙✨

tip...i paint the whole canvas white and let dry completely..then i put on the contac paper face. i seal the edges with a small amount of medium and let that dry. then i paint the left side in the background color. again let everything dry. finally i remove the contac paper and continue with the area to be swiped...then swipe. it worked great to do i this way.

I think it was the heat gun. You had the sticky surface paper. Then used heat to promote the cell's. Heat and glue won't mix. It will release your glue on surface paper. Ie your stencil. But beautiful picture. From a UK London crafter.

I'm a professional painter in construction a lot of times when we want to get those nice clean lines without it leaking under the tape we use a very thin amount of caulking then wipe with a damp rag or paper towel it seals that cracked so it won't leak underneath the tape... It works well every time

Super creative! It would have been nice to hear you explain why and what you're doing per step. For instance, making bubbles with a torch. Could you use a heat gun or blowdryer instead to get the same result? Some of us use the tutorials to guide us from the beginning stages of painting with acrylic, etc. If you miss a step and not realize it until the end during editing, use text if necessary, either on a part of the screen or under "show more" under description of video. Other than that, your painting is really beautiful. Thank you for sharing it with us.
@CraftyJenn
@CraftyJenn 5 лет назад
Hello :) Yes you can use a heat gun but be careful with a blowdryer as you can blow the paint around and change the painting. I usually just use a torch. Sorry it's not descriptive enough. I just make the videos best I can. Some people hate how long they are and others want more depth. LOL Thank you SO much and thank you for watching :)
@mycroftbrooks4602
@mycroftbrooks4602 5 лет назад
Excuse me, that using of a torch explains emergence of some bubbles, but not the ones that had been there right after you swiped the paint. They were very little and grew bigger then. Did you add some oil in the paint for this effect?

@@CraftyJenn okay but are you happy OR nervous? It sounds like you're nervous. I am not judging you, just trying to figure it out because you laughed like every few seconds. Which is distracting actually. Anyhow your project is super cool. 😁 the colors are beautiful. I have a thought about the leaking. Maybe apply painters tape or masking tape at the edge of the face,attach it to your contact paper, then lay down your contact paper. I wonder if it will help more in preventing leaks? 🙂
