I keep emory boards in the shop for detail work. Two grits. They’re wider than my needle files. A piece of binding broke off my mandolin and is lost. Darn! Canopy glue, goood stuff!
??? So funny. I was doing this same exact thing last night . LoL I am building a D-18 style guitar, I put the finish on the body and neck separatatly was ready to guess it up ... And realized I hadn't made the heel cap button for it.. so here I was too . Trying to make it and fit it without messing up the finish. Pull up RU-vid and your did the same thing. The same way I did. I miss your luthier videos Jerry ... we are all sitting here secretly hoping you have more friends and family needing repairs 😅
Book binding glue is a lot like canopy glue. Might be the same. It dries waterproof and has to be flexible so the book can be open and the backbone of the book doesn't crack.
They are planning to play the last Thursday of every month but May's was a week early because a lot of the band were not going to be available on the last Thursday so they moved it up. Next one will be June 27th unless they change it. 😃😃😃
