Jeff Stryker I have the current model 1850 supercab and I can vouch that they are a superb boat . Boat before the stabi was a 2017 yellowfin 6700 and the smaller stabi performs 100 times better than the bigger ally boat
Interesting that the Cootacraft hulls are based on a yank design , the Apache racing boats. Great performers, great offshore , but you REALLY have to know how to drive one. In quartering of following seas, they are a bit touchy, unlike the Eden craft or the Bass Strait
I want a boat that sails in the sea, not that it flies through the air ! , that it sails horizontally in cruising speed and the others (hull balance) and not vibrate, that also have a pleasant ride and find your flight at 2800 rpm, that it is also dry, and it is not has strong swinging when it is stopped. I want the combination of legendary hull performance, beautiful lines, and modern construction make. What ship is built like this?
Man they put a lot of power into a 6m boat. Over here in no we push our 6m alloys with 150 and fibreglass 150-175. How fast are they getting out to the grounds
Is nobody picking up on the fact that all of those boats ( and all of the Deep Vees in the other videos, some very pricey machinery there) have the crappy old setup of clears tacked on over a low windscreen? So, no wipers, flying blind if the weather is bad , the spray/rain is flying and you need to have them zipped up. Then, they leak onto the expensive electronics on your dash. Fine if the weather is perfect all the time ( and useful if navigating in the dark , better vision if you zip them down.) Any boat in this price range should have a proper hardtop with flat windows , top vents, and wipers on flat glass.
You can't see through hard tops at night. A lot of tuna fishing trips start pre-dawn and finish after dark so unless you go to the expense of fitting Flir it's going to suck driving at night
@@MrGavo1978 I did mention that the vision is better if there is nothing in front of you. . I spent thirty years at sea for a living, looking through glass in the dark. The proportion of time the average fisherman, even the guys who do long trips, spend in the dark is small compared to the rest of the day. We can agree to disgree, I stand by what I said, I'm happy inside my hardtop, with wipers, and glass kept clean with glass polish.
why do australian always make boat smaller and usa always make boat bigger ? do really a good hull & design even its small is better than bigger boat ? coz i tot bigger is always better even the hull is not gud as australian hull.
I understand everyone has different taste and opinion... but God they all are so ugly... Why? I do have a budget to buy any of these, but can't bring myself to pay that much for a dinosaur design, even though their performance is great.
