A few quick question, please: - Is "PRK" FDA approved? - Can it be done with Keratoconus - especially early stages? - Is it safe for people under 40 / won't cause more thinning or speed up progression? - Generally, is it considered "safe" or "risky"? I'm asking because my doctor suggested both cross-linking (CXL) and PRK. Thank you.
Can prk with CXL treatment be detected on slit lamp? I mean if a patient undergoes PRK+CXL and then goes to a eye checkup a year later will any doctor detect that he has undergone some treatments in the cornea upon examination on a silt lamp?
I did epi on cxl on both eyes the same day. 4 years ago slow progress for flatting of cornea but I wouldn't recommend doing each eye individually. It burns but was wearing contacts again after 5 days
