This nurse helped deliver my baby! She pretty much did it all and the dr just walked in to catch my little guy! This woman is THE most amazing woman I have ever met! She was so compassionate and caring and made me feel so comfortable! After a rough delivery she even came by afterwards to check in and see how me my hubby and baby were! Bottom line... this lady is unbelievable

Baby doesnt have to cry unless he is not breathing at all for a bit.. squeeze the cord or pinch off cord they usually take their first breath if it doesnt right after its delivered. He was probably breathing he just wasnt a cryer. I watched a very calm homebirth with no crying the baby came out into the warm water and was picked up and held and never cried once it was a beautiful birth. The baby started to Bf. The body will absorb the fluid in lungs so no need to give babies a aweful experience as their first moment in life by roughing them up to cry.
She......is an amazing woman!! Giving birth with absolutely no drugs, not to mention while riding in what I’m sure was a fast and somewhat bumpy car. Just beautiful and amazing. Amen amen amen!
You're stupid you should not have kids the cord is wrap around the baby neck and the baby is out of the womb and breathing air the cord can kill the baby by choking it that's y the doctor's always rush to get the baby out and soon as the head is out they rush to take the cord off the baby neck dummy
The baby was just fine it is no wonder that baby was not crying.If babies are delivered peace and safe they dont need to cry and baby was moving and breathing so no need for panick...

it's probably just me, but I don't understand the whole 'pat the bottom' thing. I can imagine they'd mention the behind, since chances are smaller you might hurt the baby when patting him there. Compared to maybe hitting his legs or back. But it just made me uncomfortable watching the guy at 0:45 endlessly rubbing the baby..it was breathing, it was drinking, leave it alone, there's no need to rub it's cheeks together, why would you?!
I'm curious if you have birthed any children and if so, did you have the chance to birth them in a hospital? She delivered her own child, without any help and she resorted to instinct. My daughter was born 6 weeks early and needed aggressive resuscitation for four minutes. The vigorous stimulating rubbing is why we are about to celebrate her 9th birthday. I could tell exactly why he was patting the booty of the baby....she was exhausted after being birthed and bf calms them even more so during her first bf experience, he was helping to keep her awake and stimulated. The mother does this for a living and was ok with it, it shouldn't be a problem of yours. Thank you God, nobody simply left my baby alone.
Christa Prestridge Thanks for the question :) The yellow stuff is actually called meconium, which is baby stool/poop that is passed from the baby while they are in the uterus. It can be a sign of fetal distress and at times can be on the baby after delivery as you noticed :)
Eric Ofdale It's not poopy!! It's vernix, an emollient that protects the baby's skin and aids in passage down the birth canal. No wonder she came out so easily and couldn't wait with all that natural lubricant still on her 😉 She's beautiful btw you two!! Tell mama congrats too 💐
