As a 2023 SS owner, I tell people to order an LT1 with Recarro seats and dual mode exhaust. You can modify your car after that. Get wider rear tires and you'll blow any SS out of the water with your less weight. It's such an underrated car that people scoff at, but you'll have the last laugh.
That is exactly what I bought! 23’LT1 with NPP, Recaro and six speed. Love the car for sure. No secret that the SS looks better and the suspension is certainly better. But for the price the LT1 is tough to beat.
Same. I went from my 17 1SS with basically nothing but sunroof and automatic to my 23 LT1 with recaros, tech package and npp. Still looking for matching rear wheels but I’ll take this lt1 over that SS any day. The recaros are way better for my crappy back too.
This video came at a perfect time! Im most likely picking up a black ‘23 LT1 redline edition with NPP exhaust and tech package this week. So excited and im glad to hear you like yours as well!
Good vid, filming and questions. Michael is an articulate owner, that shared his real-world experience with the car and has a good history of vehicle ownership that led to the purchase of his Rapid Blue beast 👍🏽
He should sign up for the next Street Racing Made Safe Autox .. we have like 5 Camaros racing and it’s mad fun! If you want to come and watch, the next one is July 9th!
So you touched on the Bose system, when I upgraded from a 4 cylinder Camaro to the LT1 I thought I was getting a sound system upgrade as well, but was disappointed. I saw that the new LT1 has a Bose system in it at the dealership and I wanted to go get it, but now hearing what you said about the Bose, I'm wondering can you add amps to a Bose system and a Bose sub?
Owner here From what i read its still an upgrade, you also get a better screen I'm picky when it comes to audio, i listen to mostly rock, but when some hip hop or edm comes on its sounds good not the best 7/10 For my music taste the bass bleeds into the mids, i have the bass turned down by 2 and the mids up by 1 I still prefer the bose from my mazda 3 and my old mx5, those also had a dedicated sub which helps alot, it had deep punchy bass without going into the mids For aftermarket im not to sure since the exhaust is what i mainly listen to so i havnt looked into any aftermarket options, but i think a dedicated sub would be an awesome upgrade, itll let the door speakers breath a bit
