@@drepark2294 my personal opinion, the maintainance will be still done by people, and we've had instances of failures where some sensors weren't calibrated properly (one being of a feul gauge showing its full when it wasnt) and the only 2 people who saved 100s of lives were the pilots. Sensors can be deflected, or misread and the only one with correct judgement, be it defense or simply saving the aircraft can be done by man. Maybe in future we'll have jamming signals by satellites, which is a scary thought for planes falling out of sky. Also something about an insensitive aircraft bombing people, by some man in a safe room thousands of miles away, doesn't feel right

We didn't. the F-22 was too expensive to maintain, and the F-35 will ruin the owner. just over a longer period of time. Drones were the insensible way to go. That is the direction we are headed now.

Actually most of the past generation jets of us Air Force are released after they’re mature enough for practical fighting scenario,therefore I think that sixth gen may have already finished developing so that the Air Force is finally releasing them to field

I mean they make great stuff of their own, but when the U.S developed it's 6th gen fighter (that has a prototype already tested and flown) the world will be reminded, who's boss. And also, if China gets in a war, it's doomed, it has enemies surrounding it and not many allies. But if America is in a war, (Which they are in every few years) then the mainland stays in full tact because so little countries can pull of an amphibious assault. But if China gets in a war, its mainland will be bombed to death by many countries.
