Had that Iranian P3 come within 20 miles of the U.S. Navy in the late 80's, early 90's, it would have become a home for fish.

The A10 warthog. One of the badest air weapons ever invented

LHX - designed from the Pilot eye point POV, designed inside out. I seem to remember it had the ability to fly sideways at over 100, while bore sighting, multiple targets. But then the Hughes Apache - 10x times its weight for cargo. But also a unibody, that if damaged, totaled the entire airframe and boresight. It makes me wonder, if graphite or kevlar materials are more of a hinderance than a plus, due the risk of simple damage say from a windstorm that knocks one over on the tarmac?

Why cant the retired a10s be sent to Ukraine? Some Pilots have test flied them in the US and it'll unjam any fortification on the frontlines... They need jets and A10 is great for Ukraine
