I would have liked to see an actual snapshot of an ops run with a break down. It is easy to say what to do in the abstract but seeing it in action helps set things mentally better.
Just a few extra tips! Remember that Emergency Medpac/Surgical Probe can be used to reset the duration on any medpacs/probes on a friendly target - very handy for management. Also, I believe that if you take the right tactical, you can use it three times to be able to instantly activate Underworld Medicine/Kolto Injection (big AoE) at a lower energy cost! One more thing, Shiv/Blaster Whip restore a Tactical Advantage/Upper Hand each time they’re used and a Legendary Implant can be chosen that increases your crit chance each time you generate a Tactical Advantage/Upper Hand Great way to generate crit on an alacrity focused build like this! For first time healers: Always remember your priority order in a group! You first - Other Heals - Main Tank - Off Tank - DPS
I would disagree with the priority slightly. Healing yourself is the #1 priority, but only if you'll actually die - Then it is the main tank as the other healer should heal themselves. Other healer should be tied with the off tank.
This is great! I was never secure with my healing because I have only one healer toon and I've been looking for something that might help. I'll have some practice now after watching this. Love your content btw!
a better way to keep track of your slow release medpacs is to use the hots overlay from starparse. resize it and overlap it on your raid frames, then lock it so it becomes click through. position it so that the green hot squares lay on the red healthbars and it'll tell you, with a bit of a latency delay, where your hots are (both kolto shells or slow release medpacs depending on which healer you're playing).
There just isn't too much room to grow doing SWTOR content like I do. Yeah, swtorista gets a lot more views than me, but that's pretty much the peak I can aim for :)
I had a mm fp on Lost Island while running Merc Healer where all 3 of them were blaming the wipes on me 🥲 I was parsing 21k/sec. I dunno. thought I did okay… either way i’m switching to Operative Healing. thanks for the really in depth video :)
My Playstyle is something I like to call a shield healer. It's a healer that can heal others but focuses a lot on moves that mitigate damage for their allies and themselves more so than just pure healing so their healing output is lower than other healers because they have more defensive options like shields and bubbles/barriers and stuff that mitigate damage for your allies. Like Scholar or Sage from FFXIV or Displicine Priest from WoW is there anything in Swtor that fits or is close to that?
No. The closest option of you have is the sage/sorcerer in this game but it is a far cry from what you're explaining. All the 3 healer types do the majority of their healing directly with very little damage mitigation.
So It looks like they changed Locked and Loaded to no longer affect healing. Is there another implant you'd recommend along with Tactician Package? Maybe Aggressive Treatment or Field Medic?
Depends on the fight, but you will notice a bump in healing going from 326 to 330. There is no "max" healing number like DPS players to try and hit. It's more about effective healing and did anyone die?
It's not super critical how much you have, but it depends if you want to run accuracy or not. Always run at least 2,200 alacrity, but you can swap all your remaining points into alacrity after you hit 4,200 critical.

@@Draemn I also believe that tactician has an undisclosed 18 second ICD, meaning that you get 50% uptime-ish. I am actually convinced that free bushwak + bushwak healing is actually better than the other options, ppl just didnt test it enough. 10% crit with 50% uptime is like 3.75% healing. Healing bushwak will do better in any situation where you heal 4+ target with it, which is all the time + it will help energy management + it will do some damage.
