Thanks for the great guide as always, sir! Just one point. You said you heal yourself because you are selfish, but there is an extremely important practical reason to do so (at least in my view) and that is that the best healers are *alive*. If you are dead, you can't heal anyone, so it is vital that you keep yourself alive to do your job, right?
I always main healer in this game and when the whole enemy team is tunneling you because you’re the healer, you absolutely must heal yourself. Like you said can’t be a good healer if you’re dead
I only bind Rifle-shot to a Shift key after an _Assault on Tython_ wipe. 30 Meter range combined with auto-target nearest enemy turned Rifle shot into a liability during the first boss fight there likely to draw-in the adds down the staircase
Going to give this a try. Only doing HM flashpoints and should be good practice. Have a sorc healer as first healer and this is a little more hands on. Can get in close and backstab/shiv for a little DPS. Notice in all guides, they only use one tactical and specific implants. There are others available and would like to see how the others work/interact.
Your videos are really amazing. I LOVE that you start off with the Implants and Relics right away. 1. With the healer my MAIN problem is that one dps that instantly took ubers amount of dmg by standing in a circle or something. I know he is fkg stupid lol, but how to quickly save him (single target heal) and return to group without messing up my energy equilibrium? 2. How much Alac and Cirt ? I know you said 7% Alac, but I see people with 13%. Right now I have 9.62% Alac = 3K and Crit = 4k ? Someone else said my Crit is too high, Alac should be higher than the Crit. I'm a bit confused here.

Hey, i see you use my F to spam Kolto Probe keybind!! I use Shift-F to target nearest ally, then spam F and on to next ally to spam more F's Have so many F's to give :) Just can't help myself when the right keybinds makes it so easy & convenient
IMO Trapper and Aggressive treatment (this allows Haze to not cost a TA and AoE heals) with the Waves tactical (Waves cost a TA, but its healing is increased 20%). Between Haze, nano and Waves with those 3, just insaneo AoE, you only touch the single heals for a burst up if tank misses a DCD etc. Its nuts. Kolto Burst passive also helps here as it turns Injection into an AoE, though I think he went with that in this guide anyway tho. This guide seems mainly single target/PvP focused IMO. However Medicines single target heals are already good enough. Op healers strengths are proactive HoTs and insane AoE healing. Always play to its strengths. If you want/need single target healing, go Merc.
Okay my issue is that I don’t know how to target myself for heals in fights, and sometimes I can’t target my companions or other players. What’s the best way to do this (I’m a DPS power tech main so this is all new to me)
So the easiest way to target people is by using the player frames, so if you want to click on yourself, click on your big smiling face in the bottom-center-left of your screen above your abilities, if you want to target your companion, click on their smiling face in the bottom-left corner of your screen, to target teammates, click on their names/faces/healthbars in the left side of the screen when you're in a group.

Lol, your note on being the mom of the group near the end of the vid. So true!! All those times when a squishy DPS is asking for heals and I'm like dude, stop taking aggro for no reason and standing in damage circles and you won't need much healing, just stop being dumb. I'm not taking focus of my tanks just because you're too dumb to not do stupid things.
power/mastery proc relics, serendipitous assault/focused retribution. If you're really struggling in certain sections of a fight you can use the clickable relics, but in my experience having fewer pieces of the puzzle to manage generally produces better results.
The guide is good, however from a guide perspective, you are only focusing mainly on one combat style of medicine operative. I personally go with regenerative waves, with trapper and agressive treatment package to focus on solely aoe healing, and still using my main abilities to heal tanks. This allows me to out heal almost everyone in raids. Just allows for more flexibility
@@big1972joe high crit medium alacrity. Alacrity is pretty much useless in 7.p because of the high Stat ceiling. I have 4k crit from augments, and then 2.6k alacrity
The Diagnostic Probe tactical is yet another reminder that the UI is fucking cancer for op healers. ps Locked and Loaded has to my knowledge NEVER worked.
+1 The UI is not very Heals friendly. When I was trying to make the transition to a Healer class, configuring a useful UI is by far the biggest impediment to making the transition to Heals
