You’re content is awesome and I’ve learned so much from watching your videos. The o rings on my turbo are leaking so I’m going to rebuild the whole turbo. Firstly let me say I certainly appreciate your commitment to quality repairs. Nice to see common sense being used as well. One question that I have is, what did you use to clean the pedestal aluminum. You said, "Don't use Scotchbrite pads or sandpaper". That makes perfect sense, but did you use a type of liquid cleaner or thinners to clean the O-ring seats to eliminate the discoloration?

I saw the thumbnail showing the O-ring in the compressor outlet, and thought the video was going to be about that one. For some reason I cannot find that O-ring anywhere for the E99 7.3's. After pinching one, I dug thru piles of "junk" and discovered that the thermostat gasket, even though it has a square profile is a viable replacement gasket. The 99 - 03 compressor outlets are a larger diameter and they are the ones you can find. As for the pedestal O-rings, I've never had one leak.

Should I do the same thing (use RTV) to the O rings on the CCV doghouse? 2. I’m doing the double CCV mod for the passenger side (from one of your other videos), could I route that hose into a brass Y fitting and send it out the same direction as the drivers side CCV hose? We used a Teflon oil of some sort and a green plastic brush, not unlike a tooth brush. No abrasives or metal brushes were allowed. What’s worse about commission guys is they are actually incentivized to do a horrible taillight warranty job. They’ll just say “jobs security”

My trouble is that I replaced the hpop lines but didn't go back with OEM. They leak . None are machined correctly. Without that groove to retain the o-ring seals, they simply push out of blow out. What now? By the way, I truly appreciate your candor and experience.

I have a 02 powerstroke 2504x4 if you accelerate to 2200 rpm or higher the motor bogs down or misses and smokes, if you kill it and restart it runs fine until you accelerate heavy again, I have had it at a shop and replaced multiple parts any ideas thanks a lot

Ok at about 12.00 when he talks about cleaning the oring surface. He says don't use scotchbright or sand paper, but you have to get it clean. Even clean it 3,4,5......10 times. Well clean it with what?

IDP T4 S364.5SXE ///// Description This kit is for the crowd looking to be around the 300-500hp mark, this turbo has very good driving characteristics, fast spool up and will do very well towing. Works great with STOCK Injectors to small hybrids! This kit is the complete IDP T4 mounting system with 304ss up-pipes and intercooler piping, and includes the S364.5SXE turbo!! Just hook up your air filter and exhaust and this system is ready to run! *94-97 and E-99 trucks will need to add plenums added to order, 99.5-03 can use existing plenums but it is not recommended. **Includes 2.5-3″ boot for compressor outlet! 30:41 you told me to stay until the end! thanks for the quality of workmanship you have. I take pride in my workmanship I do roadside service where I teach each and every person I come across cause I enjoy it. I explain to all of them that to find quality you need to find a shop that looks like their life investment is in their toolbox and how they hold themselves. Aside from the "drilling in" which I understand completely why you do it, maybe for future videos grab that camara get a up close and personal view. Instead of panning back and forth add a constant top view of the action in its own window where its always seen what is done with the other focused on you so your not jerkin your neck back and forth :) honestly you do you, this is just an input id follow you anyway even if you wore a fkin clown suit thanks for being you.
