The last part of the song where the requiem motif plays but never really goes all the way to the end (to me personally) symbolizes how pointless the final war was and how detrimental it was to humans, everything humans have ever built turned to ash under the might of the earthmovers undoing all progress made up to that point, only in lust would humans would complete the motif.
It was grander than all before A war to end all war But a battle to be the last Is one of many in such a violent past A tower to the heavens Ambition to rise above Ignoring the cry of ravens And the absence of god’s love For peace was torn to pieces A choice of pain slain and wrought with disdain. For the dead may rest, in war, in pieces As the tide of war charges and wanes Now that it was a war without reason A siren song cried to the hearts of each legion That there’s nothing to fear but fear Itself a harbinger of danger near But it cries and wails, alarms of fraud To cause misery, shame, enough to kill god.
0:32 For days, the rain never stopped The wind howled, everywhere wailed No leaves left, neither colorful flowers in their branch Storks watched and gone in the road of migration Traces of the war without reason Bleeding ashes of friends Wasn't enough to stop merciless hands For days, my tears never stopped My voice howled, everywhere wailed No seasons left, neither withered flowers in my hand People watched and gone in the road of migration Traces of the war without reason Bleeding ashes of friends Wasn't enough to stop merciless hands -War without reason by Özlem Tekin
I still cant believe a stupid comment of mine inspired such a banger + an encore level concept (if it did, just the name is the same and the idea of it being an encore is also pretty much what i suggested)
