This is a segment of an unfinished track I wrote - eventually I'll make a full version of this, depending on how well this does I'll bump it up the list of other tracks to complete 😅 Currently working on Havana and I think you guys are gonna love it!

It's easy if you know how to count it. Think of the 'zwiefacher' a Folksong Style consisting of 2 rapidly switching time signatures (mostly 2/4 and 3/4 or 3/4 and 4/4). Here it's 2/4 and 3/8 switching rapidly. So you Always Count 1.2.123 1.2.123

The 7/8 felt so normal and groovy that I got thrown off when the 4/4 came in lol. Amazing job, as a composer myself, I can say it is really difficult to write in 7/8, much less make it sound that groovy.

The start sounds like a DCI solo with that percussion section laying down the feel behind you! If you went sky high in the end of the solo I'd have thought you ripped this straight from one of the Scheherazades or something!

Nice, reminds me of a score "Balkan Dance" by the swiss composer Etienne Crausaz, it has lots of 7/8 and 10/8 rhythms with an eastern / desert feel to it
