The Evergreen state lives up to its name. I love how green everything is. When I visited in late July, the sweet pea was covered in pink/purple blooms, which contrasts beautifully with the green. Even though July and August are the peak of summer travel season, the park did not feel crowded.
I would also recommend colonel Bob (small mountain), hurricane ridge, heart lake, and generally things closer to the mountainous interior. That's pretty much the only major thing that you missed since there are some grander views than storm king of mount Olympus and the baileys.
I live on the backdoor of ONP, You can go skiing to kayaking in 30 minutes. Weather is mild, no tornadoes, hurricanes, lots of hiking, mountain biking, fishing, hunting. I love it here and die here. I've been all over the US. I keep coming back "Home "!
I live on the other side of the Olympic National Park (Hood Canal). I love watching videos to see what others think of this beautiful part of the world. You did a great job showing the beauty and the fun, like perfect size skipping rocks! Keep up the good work! I will continue to watch.
Love this video. I love the background music, the explanations about the hoh forest trees. Well done video, thanks for making it funny too. Would love to see more videos from you guys. I can’t wait to visit Olympic now
Amazing guide, going to Seattle this thanksgiving week and this video makes reschedule my plans, definitely add Olympic NP to my week, Thanks!!! hope take great photographs there
After everything else that we saw when in Olympic, Hoh rainforest was somewhat of a letdown, not that it wasn't cool but, so much other stuff that was better.
Born and raised in Washington. You can add Hurricane Ridge, an along Hood Canal the Hama Hama, Dosewallips, or Duckabush Rivers. The Sol Duc Hot Springs is another great place.
I loved ya'lls video :) When in April did you guys go? I've bought tickets for beginning of April, but keep seeing comments on Reddit that everything will be covered in snow still, lol
You can not fly in the national park, but there are some areas outside the national park. But make sure you do a good amount for research before you fly. It can be a little confusing
I beg to differ with you this is GOD'S Country I've lived here all my life and will die here probably and it doesn't always rain here either Kraig from Port Angeles WA many people from around the world say so as well
Pro tip for making travel videos, viewers perfer to look at the scenery, not your face or the back of your companion, nobody cares about rock skipping talents. Disembodied voice is better than talking head. Most people don't think this is a movie starring you. They think this is a documentary on the subject of your video (Olympic national park). I liked your use of the map at minute 10:20-ish. Nobody cares about seeing your hand clap on the lens face. I did like that you described the hike distance and elevation gained and time elapsed. regards.
@@jch1276 I supposed taste is like a**holes, everybody has one, or is one (?) but having made over 120 videos of this type, I'd have to say, you're wrong from the perspective of what MOST people want. Apparently you like to watch a lot of TV, so these entertaining talking head shots is drilled into your brain cells. OK. I'm not changing my style. Oh, by the way, National Geographic, who makes the most of this kind of videos, and the best of these kinds of videos, disagrees with your opinion.
I guess I should’ve known by your title using the most overused word in these travel Vlogs AMAZING that you weren’t actually gonna give an authentic review. You lost me at Hoh is worth visiting. The rainforest/cloud forest in Costa Rica are worth visiting hoe is just a bunch of moss.
Agreed… Worth noting that all of the logs @ Rialto (& other beaches around La Push) are accidentally discarded “timber” that rolled off the “ barges” shipping what was cut down the coast to California. Also, flying over the Cascades is heartbreaking. Often, the highways through the canyons will appear to be pristine (much of it is now protected), but flying over will expose what isn’t visible from ground level…. Most of the forests there have been clear cut. Call me a tree hugger, but I’m a firm believer that we need to be aware of the mistakes we’ve made, and do a much better job of managing resources.
You managed to hit almost all of the cliche attractions of ONP but managed to miss the real essence of the park that can only be experienced by in depth exploration of area not featured in RU-vid videos. Too bad. Come back and really get to know the park. You won't regret it.
