various radar emmiters are tracking him, hence the sound. short chirps are emmiters going online, long continious is an active emmiter tracking his aircraft.

The constant Prrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr means he’s being tracked the BEEERP BEEERP is a new contact the Booorp booorrp is an old contact reappering the BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP is a missle

The long ping is a sam/missile being launched at the plane, shorter pings are targets appearing on radar

I use TrackIR 5 for head tracking in DCS and a couple other games. I have a Valve Index, but don't really like using it for DCS.
