For THIS milling strategy I wouldn't need a 6 DOF arm. It doesn't even follow the surface normal using all the degrees of freedom it has compared to a much simpler 4 axis milling machine. Machine time is cheaper then human time for sanding and polishing afterwards.
indeed the size what apply that large statue would require a more expensive gantry mill on other side this system, if it made in germany then it might cost a half of million.. they deserved it there are controls already from 1300 for 8 axis plus a used arm around 8 grand so on the end way under 20 you can have an 8 feet stretch 150 kg arm under 20 working in your shop..
