Firstly thank you for the video.... I have read boy in striped pyjamas...I cried for the first time .... And also diary of anne frank... I have book of thief in my tbr... Rest are added in the future tbr.... Thank you again...
Anne Frank's father survived and this dairy was found by his secretary after the war got over. It was he was got it self published as no publisher was ready to publish it. But when the book got the attention it needed then many publishers approached him to get it published under their publishing house.
I will for sure. In this list, I've spoken about the books that I've read. The Nightingale is on my TBR, hopefully I'll get to it soon 😊 thanks for the recommendation. Let me know if you know of other good books too.
Quite a few as I love reading WW IIbooks- The Boy on the Wooden Box The Boy in Striped Pajamas The Book Thief The Plum Tree Winter of the World The Diary of Anne Frank Number the Stars Winter of the World All the Light We Cannot See Sarah’s Key The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society The Dollmaker of Krakow 🤗
Do you happen to know the name of a book about a disabled girl during the Holocaust? I think she wore glasses but it has been years. I remember it from 2nd and 6th grade.
@@NeetuSingh-eo4iu Thanks for the response. Unfortunately I don’t that is not the one it was published in 2015. This book was published In the 1990s or earlier. I read it around the same time I read Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes. Not sure why I remember that one and not the other. Ill let you know if I find out. Thanks again.
Diary of a Young girl can be boring to readers who wants a lot of action but like you said you need to read it from a 13 year old girl's point of view of those times
Totally agree. The sheer fact that every single word written in that book is true is enough for me to recommend this book to one and all. Plus, what surprises me the most is that after going through all that, Anne still had hope for humanity.
Same here bro I completed class 12th from science still addicted to that chapter I really enjoyed the chapter and I used to love SST from starting, science is good too but SST is best. You should read diary of young girl by Annie Frank.
Same....just passed 11th from science....there is something about sst which is very interested.....maybe I gained my interest because of my geography teacher : Mr fassihullah, he never taught us ncert....he had immense knowledge of sst, as if he were a upsc aspirant.....he always taught because he wanted to teach.....another reason can be khan sir, and I don't think this needs explanation
Boy in the striped pyjamas is a masterpiece I’ve seen movie on it, it made me cry at the end , we people are sooo lucky that we were not born in that period
I read a book "man's search for meaning" by Franklyn Victor and it is also about Holocaust. I highly recommend you to read it. Thanks for the other books 👍
I've watched the movie potato peel society, will i enjoy the book? P. S. Though I didn't watch the end of the movie, so that I'll be Inttiguied while reading the book. 😄
I recently read The Paris Orphan by Natasha Lester, and it is wonderful, about an American model/turned wartime on WWII. The difficulties she faced getting to the Front in France, the people she met and loved, are all beautifully drawn. It is a dual-timeline book. Also I recommend From Sand and Ash by Amy Harmon, set in WWII Italy. Tells about how Jews were gradually harassed and persecuted there, and how the Catholic Church hid many of them and tried to help.
