that was me then first 30 times i almost beat lingering will but then he stayed alive with like 1 dang health(i was actually fighting him not air finisher spamming)
Lubu, Dynasty Warriors 4. You're cocky and confident because you faced off against multiple generals and other opponents with ease or at least you feel you got the feel of their strategy in fighting. But then he appears and you hear your fellow fighters worry about his announcement. You're looking and saying "okay, I heard plenty of warriors be called out for their infamous skill". But then, when you face off against him, oh no, he strikes you once and you're near death. You hit him, a millimeter of his life is gone. He's tougher than even the toughest bosses you face in the final battle. Anyone who played Dynasty Warriors know of the character Lubu. He's probably the top tier character.
I'd always try and hit him in the back when he's not looking. Once he sees me, I Run away till my musou gauge would fill. Turn around and hit with my musou. Rinse and repeat. It's a long process lol.
he was a bottle of piss! (that means 'easy' in stupid) probably because by the time I went up to high hrothgar I was over level 30. I just got distracted so easily in skyrim.
I already had an extremely hard time beating Sephiroth in KH2 - tried like 50 times and in the end I was a shivering nervous wreck (and all I got for it was a stupid sword - by that time I already had better ones since I was shortly before the end and had already found Memoire and created Ultima). The one of KH1 I didn't even try - just walked in to see what that new battle is and then was like, "Nope, not worth the stress again"
I played through KH, died while playing Sephiroth, and my little brother who was watching me asked to try. He never played the game before, and he beat Sephiroth with little difficulty.
enrique lanza The second the other cutscene started i figured there'd be a second phase, Nameless King takes a lot more adapting to because his phases are completely diffirent, first few tries you wont even reach the king himself.
enrique lanza Even if you do know, depending on your build atleast the first few tried you'll waste 2-5 flasks on the first phase, mine was a pyromancer and my weapon wasnt too effective given his fire resistance so i had to resort to dark fire orbs and hitting the dragon with those isnt very easy, as for the king himself my weapon was a UGS so hitting him with it would require taking damage because i didnt have much stamina to roll away with and Nameless King hits fast most of the time.
+Alex Makres Psycho Mantis is the true immortal. I think without guides it's impossible to beat him on the first try. Heh but Sephiroth and Ruby are up there tooThe Sorrow from MGS3 is another one.... but those are puzzle battles I guess. As for insane creeping difficulty I'd put the Gaping Dragon from Dark Souls, but I guess it's POSSIBLE to beat him on the first go.
+McKenna Searle Dark souls... going to the graveyard on your first playthrough, managing to beat the first few little guys (and fresh out of flask now) you trigger the big guy... choice to run away and live but nope you think "how hard could it be, it's just a bigger guy and I know all their patterns now" ohh how wrong we are... such a great game
That's not really what this list is about; this list is for difficult bosses that are theoretically beatable on your first attempt, but you're going to have to be either really lucky or really good to do so. Round 1 against Seath belongs on the impossible bosses list instead.

To this day, seeing sephiroth appear from that column of light and seeing his wing extend with his music blaring gets my heart racing. It was such a hard fight but my God it's just so beautiful!
AzSam Pako The Nameless King has delayed attacks so just wait for him to actually swing and if you have the Carthus Bloodring (let's say you get 16 invincibility frames from a regular roll, you'll get 20-24 with that ring).
I remember beating Ornstein and Smough on the 4th or 5th attempt, felt really good. Then on the new game I wanted to beat Smough first to get Ornstein's weapon and daaaaaamn it took me like 50 tries.
Artorias X Awesome, man I pulled it off as well and also "BARELY" beat Father Gascoigne by the skin of my nose on my first try with him... and didn't know I could use the music box to make it easier. XD The whip-cane was a huge help...
Artorias X You know what's annoying .. the starting attire you can buy at the dream and the one that you find in the sewer are one of the best in the game .. all other armor is good in a specific thing while these armors are more well balanced but good at everything. Also the executioners armor is very good .. Cainhurst is really good for physical but the rest sucks, but it's practical for PVP or just regular melee stuff.
Artorias X I actually beat the first boss Father Gasciogne before facing Cleric Beast, found out the NPC next to the Central Yharnam torch gives you a flamethrower, used it on my first encounter with Cleric Beast the fight was so easy I didn't need to heal.

Toni kireE Lahtinen The internet ruins everything these days, if it wasn't for the internet I wouldn't have spoilers, cheaters for trophies that involve things like finding collectables (I'm one of the few that doesn't use them for those things), I wouldn't find out things boringly, if beating PT then figuring out it was Silent Hills would've been awesome, but then 6 months later the game was sent to development hell so maybe it's not so bad.
Wow. Seeing the Shao Khan part just reminded me of a strategy I used to use with Sektor and I could beat the entire game on hardest difficulty with only 50 cents at the arcade. The game forces AI enemies to shoot a projectile every time you would jump kick at a distance (no matter which difficulty). You just jump backwards with a kick, and when they shoot, you teleport uppercut them and then back high kick to knock them back to the other side so you can repeat. I would finish the entire game like this. Except Shao Khan would shoulder charge instead of shooting. I didn't beat him on my first try though. I did beat him without this method. He was really hard back then. Especially when you had a crowd of people standing around you. 😎
I beat KHFM 1.5HD Sephiroth in one go. I was level 100, had Ultima Weapon, and got lucky when every time he went to teleport for Sin Harvest, he hit the wall right behind me. All 3 times.

+Blake Zetsu Probably. Not that it matters anyways since the boss adjusts damage and health. I personally took awhile to beat him at a lower level until I decided to stop being dumb and switch weapons.
Really? All my friends say that but I beat him on my first try. It's maybe because I didn't fight him till level 130 or around there but I Was able to beat him with using half my estus. Probably luck.
***** it was so easy for me , every boss you check your codec and its done , the boss was a little more difficult than the others but in the second try i beat it the sorrow was the easiest because i didnt kill many enemies and ive understand what to do in the 3th time the end was easy , but it takes me 4 hours to beat him . i really liked ! while metal gear boss in mgs 1 , weeks of fightings .
i highly doubt anyone ever did the Psycho Mantis boss fight on the first try. unless they cheated and read how to do it on the internet. i cant even remember how i figured it out the first time, it's been ages since i first played it.... i bought it the day it was released and beat it on the same day.
I acutally beat Ornstein and Smough plus Kalameet the dragon on my first go (on my own)... I guess I was op on the leveling up I did though. Knight Artorias and Manus was a differnt strory, but after long hours of playing Dark Souls leads too sloppey playing and impatince... I should have had them on the first go.
Radar Man I beat Moonlight Butterfly, Ceaseless Discharge and MAYBE the Centipede Demon thing on my first go. And I was surprised to beat a good number of DS2 bosses on first attempt.
I beat Ornstein and Smough on my first go... You didn't say co-op doesn't count ;) Yes I should have done it solo first time, but I was scared :D But now I always do Souls/Bloodborne bosses on solo, unless I think they're cheap or if they are just not fun to do over and over on my own.
PanicGiraffe Actually you can stagger and beat both of them pretty easy. You can stagger Bloodstarved Beast with your gun like a normal enemy and Vicar Amelia with hurting her he hand she holds the coin with. These two are very fair bosses. No unfair one shot attacks, you can dodge 'em all. :)
I beat him in 4 tries - which for being a Soulsborne end boss is very easy. Even the secret ending boss is rather easy compared to some of the Chalice bosses.
Should've included Lapis from legends of legaia...he ambushes you getting the first turn, makes you incapable of using magic, and basically one shots you if you aren't prepared.
Actually I beat Ornstein and Smough on my first try, (which wasn't until my second playthrough). Then a year or so later on my third playthrough, it took me about over an HOUR too beat them, very frustrating.
Jesus Christ You died for our sins? No I don't think so, people still kill eachother over stupid things and people get drunk and drive and crash and die. People rape women because they think 10 minutes of fame on the news is worth it. I think you died and it created even more sins then there was in the first place.

Kingdom hearts series is full of impossibly hard bosses. Kingdom hearts 1: Sephiroth, KH chain of memories: Vexen, riku, KH 358/2 days: That graveyard boss, KH2: Lingering Will, KH birth by sleep: Mysterious figure, no heart (PSP version), KH coded: That huge shadow boss that looks like it's taken from Tron, KH 3D dream drop distance: young Xehanort fight. Yeah.... Screw all those bosses.
my hardest batman origins ps3 - deathstroke. But my first atheon run in destiny was about 5hrs from start to finish, i will never forget the satisfaction of bringing him down. great first online experience
It's "DESCEND HEARTLESS ANGEL" not "Sins harvest". I'll add Final Fantasy 8's Omega Weapon to the list. You just can't survive terror force without using hero. You won't try using hero until your whole party is dead a few times and you've run out of poor compatibility GF's to use as meat shields. What a monster.

alot of really difficult bosses that "i've" killed on my first go like in dark souls I won't lie most of them I had a summons or two still doesn't change how happy I am about being part of the kill. hiding in a corner drinking health potions counts yea?
Amazed at the remastering of 1-Winged Angel.....while watching the remastered version of KH being played lmfao. Sephiroth is the only boss in Square-Enix's entire catalogue of bosses I have yet to beat. I got him down to maybe a couple of hits left and he nailed me out of nowhere. I shut it off, and walked away never to return to that battle. I like my TV and game systems too much to even bother going back. Oh the rage.........
I actually beat the Cleric Beast and Father Gasciogne on my first attempt. But one boss I didn't beat on my first try(and I'm talking about days here before I beat him) was Orphan of Kos from the Bloodborne DLC. He was the hardest boss I ever fought.

A lot of DMC bosses. DMC 1: - Phantom 1st fight - Griffon 3rd encounter - Nelo Angelo 1st and 3rd fights - Nightmare 3rd encounter ( on the second one he didn't even hit me lol ) - Mundus of course, i'm struggling with him for more than 6 months DMC 2: - Argosax the Chaos DMC 3: - Agni and Rudra - Beowulf - Vergil 2nd and 3rd fights - Arkham - Nevan Cerberus was actually pretty easy for me, same with Doppleganger ( he hit me for like 2 times max. ). The same goes with 1st fight with Vergil.
Atheon was cake once you figured out the cycle. Now the Krauser battles from RE4 were tough. That quick time event in the first one made me want to rip my hair out. Its the final battle that takes the cake though.
Sorcery build, cleansing greatshield, boom relatively easy fight, stay at range and dont use soulmass or pursuers, high 1 hit damage the better, spears are really usefull
@playstationaccess - Since I know you are a huge FF fan you may appreciate this. Best Ruby weapon strategy I have found was entirely by accident. In a panic during one fight I summoned Hades instead of Bahamut zero. Hades puts nearly everything status effect on Ruby , including stop , slow and sleep. You can then just pummel high with Knights of the Round and recast Hades as neccessary. But I certainly did not discover this on my first go. It was more like my 20th.

hold right there, are you telling me that Shao Kahn is that difficult in all Mortal Kombat games and the only way to defeat him is just to spam buttons and mash random buttons, oh my God, I've been trying to defeat him on Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 for DS and all this time I just had to unlearn what I had learned?????!!!!! OH MY FRIGGIN GOD!!!!!
