Personally, I don't believe that the NFL stadiums need to be replaced, I just think that they need to cut ticket prices and promote the hell out of their games. If they sell out, there is no atmosphere issue.
@Montfortracing Rice doesn't play in a current NFL stadium. As for Temple, I'd give away tickets to all Eagles season ticket holders and attempt to develop a fan base. I'm sure that building Temple's program will be a challenge but building a new new stadium isn't going to solve those issues
@@senna3 right, I'm not sure why I included Rice in my question, of course they have their own stadium. Perhaps schools like Pitt and Miami and UNLV are in the question. Given that at least 90% of college football teams have their own stadiums, it's probably not a bad idea for schools like Temple and UNLV to build their own stadiums. One of the reasons being is for example, in the case for Temple, the school's fan base is not big enough to fill the Eagles' stadium. They would do well to copy Cincinnati Bearcats model: build a size fitting for your fan base. The stadium doesn't need to be big, but size of stadium can make a difference in a feeling of home and atmosphere.
No. This guy is correct. BYU stadium needs massive infrastructure and renovation improvements. They could renovate or reconstruct so still see mountains and landscape because the stadium itself has issues akin to the Liberty Bowl Stadium that is in progress of renovations and improvements and so on and still have Mississippi River Valley views along with Ozarks to West and North and western fringe areas of Smoky Mountains to the East and then there is the beautiful city skyline. But to be honest you go to a football stadium to watch a football game not to check out the panoramic views of the surrounding areas. Now for yours and pictures and other revenue streaming incentives and ideas to have a football stadium be tourist friendly attraction to sightseeing and view the lay out of the area, that is fine.
The BYU stadium is dope and unique. The separated sections allow you to see the mountains even when you’re on the field. If you go to a game there you’ll feel very differently.

Love the video! I’m actually a recent alumni of UTSA. I was in the marching band for 4 years and I can say the students and team LOVE the Alamodome. The cool 72 degree weather year round inside and the huge home-field advantage that comes with playing in a dome that gets SO loud, it’s an electric environment. Would be nice to see maybe some natural light/stadium upgrades to it, but otherwise love the stadium for UTSA Football.
It feels very closed off, very confining. It’s like playing the game in a shoebox. It feels dark. Easy fix would be to change the roofing like Syracuse.
Portland State needs to either build a new football stadium in Portland or return to Providence Park. Their current venue Hillsboro Stadium is old, dilapidated, holds way less seating for a football stadium, and way too far from the main campus. On top of that, the access to the stadium is non-existent.
Yeah but they need to they would need the renovate they need ticket sales to go out the roof every year for the next couple of years in order to do the renovations that need to be
@@andrebailey6676 I honestly don't think think stadium needs any renovations. When they were there, that stadium was always crowded. Sam Boyd Stadium is one of my favorite stadiums. I was sad when UNLV left that stadium for allegiant stadium
With football being a religion in both Texas and Pennsylvania, I don’t see why they don’t build more shared stadiums. For example, Philly could have a stadium shared by Temple and Penn on Saturdays, and have high school games on Fridays
Temples campus isn’t in the best area of a city that’s already pretty bad. If I’m not mistaken, it’s near Kensington. So idk if people would show up for that reason alone, especially for night games
Dude u have decent concept. Fact check! Get school names and stadium names correct if u do nothing!! It’s just a slop situation. “Stadium” drinking game …
Unless stadium for a Univ of Miami is privately paid for and built on campus or a non public space, than they are stuck with what they have. There was a proposal to build it on land used as one of counties big public parks and for many reasons was quickly squashed. Their support is very lukewarm and even during their heydays of 80’s and 90’s they wouldn’t sell out orange bowl than.
Finally a college football category that my beloved ACC dominates. Oh well much work to do I guess. I've said it several times that The University Miami needs to go a couple of miles down the street and purchase the Dadeland Mall property and then build a stadium on the land. Think about it, plenty of parking decks are already constructed nearby and there would also be surface parking on a lesser scale. There are also three metro rail stations within walking distance to lessen the traffic on game day. Several hotels are a short distance away and there are plenty of places for the pregame "U" vibe to gather. The area is densely populated and push back from locals could be expected. This could also work to the advantage of the stadium dynamics by making it practical for many fans to walk to the stadium from their homes.
All the schools that currently play in NFL stadiums all definitely need replacements, Rice University could tear down the sections they have and build new seating in a multi year project for a smaller capacity and footprint, BYU doesn't need a new stadium, their place is just fine the way it is.

UNLV man. Its so depressing. Playing in an NFL dome is so incredibly demoralizing. They need a nice futuristic smaller stadium with a beautiful desert backdrop in the distance.
For starters, UNLV must demolish their currently abandoned Sam Boyd Stadium and sell the land it sits on. I always thought at some point in the future UNLV is gonna have to build its own stadium close to campus, otherwise they'll just keep paying rent to the Raiders.
I speak for every college football fan…. The City of Miami made the biggest mistake not doing a makeover to the Orange Bowl or at least building a new Orange Bowl.
The lack of an on-campus stadium with a rabid sellout crowd is what will keep Miami out of the Power 2. The Canes will be in the B12, at best, in the event of ACC fragmentation.
I can honestly tell you that OHIO STATE needs an upgrade. The players even said the stadium sucks big time and needs massive upgrades and even a new stadium.
So, what exactly is the problem with BYU’s open corners? It creates an open feel and allows views of the pine trees surrounding the stadium, which enhances the Mountain View’s. At 65K that BYU only sells out for the more premium opponents (avg is 58K), additional seating isn’t needed anyway. As a fan since the 80s, I’ve sat about everywhere except the press box. There’s not a bad seat in the stadium, even the corner-adjacent seats. Always room for disagreement, but I just don’t understand the issue here-nothing with the stadium is imposing a limitation on the program. 🤷♂️
As a BYU fan and have gone to LES countless number of games through the years. The stadium has a lot of history but they do need to renovate it. I think a brick facade or something covering the outside since it is just pillars holding up the stands. Then maybe connect the corners will be tough. New press box and maybe create double decks in both corners without the blocking the views of the mountains. Renovations do need to made since it was built in the 60s last major renovation in 1982. Big XII money will help.
Villanova also plays in the same stadium as Temple. I think if they both need new stadiums? They should join forces and build a home for them both? Villanova may have a better chance on going to the ACC than Temple, but they both are in the same boat. UTSA have been growing in attendance. The last couple of years, their average is around 29,000. They need to do some upgrades to it, and add more seating which I think the design for it to do. Tennessee State is also playing at a pro stadium. They said they are looking into going FBS as well. Dayton plays in a high school stadium.
Jesus, the ginger wants every city to have new stadiums. NFL dome stadiums with natural light, MLB stadiums with about 40k seats with no outfield upper decks, new arenas for NBA and NHL teams and now state of the art college stadiums? What metro area can build 5 team stadiums like this? No city can afford all that.
USF games at Raymond James have a very bad home environment! It was almost cringe seeing the cheerleaders in the stands with signs for people to chant, but there isn't enough people to even want to try!
@@jacksonperry8283 indeed, I do understand that there are many benefits. On a ratio as lucrative as college football could be & as unstable as the college football future actually is.. it may be better to avoid such cost. As a recruit I would prefer the NIL money instead.
I agree with my Hurricanes being relocated. I’m still upset that the Marlins didn’t want to share after they swindled the City and county to help fund their stadium. Now the rendering you shared was at Tropical Park, a park that I patrol at night (Park Ranger Supervisor) and that location would be great but the rich neighbors would oppose
For some reason Pitt doesnt really bother me. Maybe its because their unis match the seats. Its part of their identity. I'd say Indiana tbh. Its too big for their fanbase and such an outdated bleh design.
I don't think Pitt playing in Heinz is too much of an issue. Yes it's a bit far from campus, but I know damn well there's a Port Authority bus line from Oakland to Downtown and then the T runs over to the stadium. Yes they can't fill it, but that's a Pitt problem, they have more foreign students who don't care about football than local Yinzers that do care. Them being good instead of 3-9 would also help that. The bottom line is that for better or worse they're stuck at Heinz, there's simply no room in Pittsburgh for another full-size football stadium.
@@Montfortracing Pitt Stadium, which they knocked down to build the Petersen Events Center. Not a popular decision. Why a school in possibly the deepest football territory in the country decided to prioritize basketball over football is beyond me.
Pitt’s athletic Director at the time Steve Pederson had the smartest man in the room syndrome and most of anything he touched was turned into shit and he could never keep anything stable. It’s a miracle that he didn’t have as much of his fingers on the basketball program than he did on the football program. He could have found someway to get a much needed renovation to Pitt Stadium and to build a bigger basketball arena/ student rec center but I think the Pitt football team moving to Heinz Field was the comprise to get the public funding to build it along with PNC Park in 1999 for the Steelers and Pirates. However a lot of alumni say he should have found a way to keep Pitt Stadium and Pitt Football on campus.
There is no reason whatsoever for BYU to replace their stadium. They fill it up consistently, it is the largest stadium in their league, and there is no demand from the alumni base for a new facility.
How does one recruit to UNLV? A bit more success, and a possible resurgence of the Pac might be seen as possibilities, but the only obvious answer for now is, "it's Sin City."
If BYU rebuilt, I don’t know where they’d play in the meantime. Maybe Rio Tinto stadium? I don’t think a rebuild is necessary. I think for the corners, maybe you just connect the Western corners and leave Eastern ones open. I haven’t been inside in a long time. Do they still have bleachers in the upper area? If so, I’d say they should replace those with seats. I think the outside of the stadium is hideous. If they could do something like bricks, as another commenter said, it would improve the look a lot.

The University of Miami is a SMALL private school and there is little to no space to build a stadium such as the one you propose. The only hope is that MLB moves or contracts the Marlins and Miami can move back to the property they called home before.
I guess Hawaii not good enough to rate for anything. If anyone needs a stadium bad its the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors! They're at what's usually their practice complex cause the only stadium in Hawaii was condemned. And there are some high school facilities that are better than what Hawaii currently plays in now!
You’re absolutely right. They’ve thrown away 30mil “upgrading” the Ching…..which they should have bulldozed. They could have built a nice 30,000 seat on-campus stadium RIGHT THERE FOR 100mil or less. Instead, they keep waiting and waiting for the state to replace the old stadium…..which frankly may never happen.
University of Pittsburgh and its Acrisure stadium Pitt has not committed to football, they have built multiple multi million dollar facilities in the space that a football stadium could have taken place, including another arena thats currently under construction
Yeah idk if he has a reading problem or is just lazy. He did the same thing with his Olympic videos saying Bisbane instead of Brisbane, nice instead of (pronounced) niece, etc
With the exception of Miami roadrunners and BYU none of these schools has a strong enough following to invest in their own stadium. I find it hard to believe University of Miami can’t make room on campus for stadium. Rice being a Texas School blows my mind that they don’t have a strong, following or enough alumni to care. Simply nobody cares about Temple for any change to happen, there’s high school stadiums in Oklahoma and Texas bigger than Temple l can make for themselves.
Back in the day UCLA shared the Coliseum with USC and the Rams, but UCLA moved to the Rose Bowl after the Rams left and the Raiders moved in. Now USC controls the Coliseum.
This guy must have never been to Hard Rock for a canes game. It gets very loud bc of the roof. Why move from a world class facility that host Super Bowls and college football playoff games? Even if Miami gets its own stadium it’s not going to change the attendance and this is coming from a season ticket holder.
The stadium in Pittsburgh is Acusure Stadium. Pronounced Ak-u-sure. There is no L in it. If you're going to do videos on stadiums, you should really know how to pronounce the stadium names.
