Greetings from Bangladesh 🇧🇩. I must say when I first start using my iPhone and came across your photography school and your most informative verbal tips believe me that was beginning of my photography, seriously Emil . Though I didn’t admit in your photography school ( too much busy schedule 🙏) but I learned a lot and so many tips received from your short tutorial . Best wishes Emil and good luck in future as well . Bye
Another excellent tutorial, Emil. I appreciate how you’re precise and thorough in your descriptions and directions. A couple of techniques I additionally use are: 1. Dance - when setting up the camera for composition, I physically move several steps around to find my best placement; 2. Turn Around - sometimes I find another great picture that exists behind me; and 3. View Camera - limit the number of pictures I take so that the picture I actually end up with is the absolute best.

Absolutely! The principles apply to all iPhones, including the latest iPhone 13 models. Our plan is to keep the course updated. Currently, we are only missing a lesson about the newest Photographic Styles feature, but we intend to add that in the future. Feel free to subscribe to our mailing lists to be notified when a greater discount is available, and also to get tips. :) You can subscribe here: iphonephotographyschool.com/iphoneography/
What tripod, head, and iPhone adapter do you use? I cannot hold my phone that still like you do in the videos. I use the phone for family photos, wildflowers, trees, mushrooms, and occasionally landscapes.
No problem, Sandy! You are welcome to visit our article that explains how to do that: help.iphonephotographyschool.com/article/133-how-to-hold-the-iphone
Another great video. One edit I'd suggest is to remove the chemtrail in the first photos of the tree. You'll see this very unnatural horizontal line in the sky to the left of the tree.

Yes, as long as you apply these composition techniques. Also pay attention to the light you have in the scene to get the best shots. It will really depend on what story you'd like to convey. Taking photos from different angles and picking out the best one would be our recommendation!
@@sanjumohan1981 it’s a tough choice. iPhone 13 Pro’s camera is simply amazing if you understand how it works. Often, it shoots as good or even better than DSLR. You also will need more time to practice and master DSLR. You need to understand that iPhone’s camera is point and shoot, while on professional camera you need to adjust settings before you take the best photo possible (of course if you can do it yourself, otherwise you have to learn how to work with the settings on cameras). Next, iPhone has 3 ( + macro on UW) lenses ready to shoot, when cameras have 1 lens and if you want to shoot macro, ultra wide or zoom, you need to buy additional lenses, take them with you all the time and swap them. On the other hand, it gives you more control (iPhone has it’s camera, but you can’t swap the lens that matches your composition better). Buying iPhone 13 Pro, you just not get a camera, but one of the best smartphones. However, iPhone’s camera is still mobile and if you’re okay with all of the cons above, professional camera might be a better investment (you can shoot long exposure photos on DSLR, while on iPhone you have to buy $5 app and it won’t be as good as professional camera, or you can buy great zoom lens and discover space! You can observe moon and even other planets, if it’s right time and day. This is impossible with iPhone’s camera. Astrophotography is definitely better on DSLR). But if you’re very new to the photography, imho you shouldn’t spend that much money for an iPhone 13 Pro or DSLR camera. If you have one of the newer phones or already have a camera (or maybe you can borrow it), go outside and try to make some photos. If you’re planning to spend so much money for a tool, you 100% need to be sure that you like what you’re doing. Also remember, that everything is not about the expensive tool, but about right hands, passion and skills. Good luck!

Emil shows different composition techniques that will help you image stand out more. Composition is important as it involves making decisions about how to position and frame the subject, as well as choosing the appropriate lighting, colors, and other visual elements. A well-composed photograph can be more successful at conveying its intended message or emotion to the viewer.
Emil refers to tapping and holding the area you want to focus on. That will adjust and lock the exposure (brightness) of your image. You can learn more about that here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hXYaWoO6q04.html or you can also check out our iPhone Photo Academy course to learn more techniques to take outstanding photos. Didnt understand the thing about the negative space when it says the more negative space, the more the subject will get emphasize. Why is it important the negative space? Didnt make much sense to me. Im a beginner
Negative space is important because, like you said, it helps to give the subject more definition and focus. It creates a visual separation that draws the viewers eye toward the main part of the image. Negative space can also be used to create a sense of depth and scale within an image, which can add to its overall appeal.
I don’t know but im actually using those techniques you mentioned without proper seminar or training. It’s just that it comes out naturally to me.. im happy that i know all of those techniques

The iPhone 13 Pro Max is the worst iPhone camera I have ever used. I have yet to take a sharp picture with the camera. The lens does not seem to know what to focus on, even when I hit the screen. The AF Lock does not stay locked. Everything in the foreground or background is blurred with only a narrow range of clear focus in the picture. Everything is out of focus or grainy. I have played around with settings and ended up just putting everything back to auto with no clear pictures. I am very frustrated since taking pictures with my iPhone is only second to using it for communication with my family. It is very important to me and I have been nothing but disappointed since getting this phone. It is not like I can just go out and buy a Samsung now.
Your experience isn’t normal. Perhaps you need to take it to a apple store or place of purchase. It’s honestly difficult taking a out of focus image on these phones so I’m thinking something may be wrong with your phone. Hope you get it sorted out.
