My friend and i started the same download. His was 5 min to start and 15 min to complete. Mine was 55 min to start and 5 hours to complete. And i am connected by wire. Absolutely NO DIFFERENCE in my times with wifi and wired. I don't understand why. Ive watched so many vids. Changed to goole dns and blah blah. And it wad 13.773 GB to start and 48.593 GB to compete. An hour per 10GB with wired i don't understand. And why no faster than wifi?

Rebuilding the database works too. It helps with both download speed and reduces lag in game, or at least for me it reduced game lag.

Biggest game I’ve downloaded was COD MW 2019, was like 132 GB and took like 14 hours. Had to buy a 2Tb external hard drive since my 1TB ps4 was full. Other big downloaded games I’ve had were elder scrolls online (90~ Gb), and DC Universe online

I leave ps4 in rest mode for an update,go to school, come back and turn my PS4 on... Half way there just 5 hours left, so I pause and resume... 32 hours, 30, 29... goes on 25 hours and stays there

With the pause one, I find that sometimes if you test your connection, it reduces the amount of time
