I found one of the vases with the apple on it and chalk painted it white and decoupaged a vintage Christmas card onto it, a little glitter in the snowy areas of the card and made a cute winter flower arrangement in the top, turned out so cute. Loved all the projects in the video.

I have never seen your videos until this evening and I have subscribed. I am in the middle of moving out of my mom's house of 31 years with all her treasures and my own. I only moved in with here in 2019. I have hired help to help me pack and move and when one man today came across a small bottle with a chunky lip and in brown writing it said HERSHEY he was ready to toss it into the trash. I told him he found it in my bedroom bookcase, it's washed out, that means because of the location I am saving it. My mom passed away in July but over 4th of July week I made hot fudge Sundays for us so I am sentimental. It was a small jar. I want to somehow pretty it up and put faux flowers in it or my crochet hooks etc. I cannot say I have a favorite. I think they are all great. Sincerely, Rebekah in VA

You are correct that not everyone loves the chippy look. I am one that loves a clean, matt finish. I love vintage glass for the complex blown or cut design, but I also love to thrift. I have been thrifting all my life. It was mostly out of financial necessity, long before it was having thrifting business. Back then it was call being cheap or poor and buying something new was out of the question. Grandma ‘s dishes and quilts were USED, not vintage or antique. We all treasure those items now. You have given me some techniques that I find fascinating and I hope to start some of those. Keep up your upcycling, thank you.

Well you did it again!!! Thank you!!!Love them all, and I love to go thrift shopping also, and can’t wait till garage sales start to get those kind of items. Thanks for the great techniques, can’t wait to try the paint inside jars, and I always love using wax. With my arthritis in my hands, I have to use pillar candles, but you can always get them at dollar stores, or clearance sometimes. Until your next finds, have a great week!!!
