You really should’ve mentioned the Baldi’s basics anti piracy screen, basically when you go to get the first notebook the screen will fade to black, then fade into the anti piracy screen, which is a darkened image of the classroom with a picture of Baldi, with hollow eyes, with the message “Something Isn’t Adding Up!” At the top of the screen, all the while the game goes completely silent besides a few random wind noises.
If Among Us, Fortnite, or Roblox also has an anti-piracy screen or coding, and if it's the latter, then I wonder if this is the one that taunts any (virtual) shoplifters the most.
@@tigerlover2853 On top of that, the Baldi’s Basics anti-piracy is actually real!… Kinda… It’s more of an error screen than an anti-piracy screen, but in theory it would work as an anti-piracy screen! But seriously this video opened with two anti-piracy screens for games I KNOW don’t even have anti-piracy screens.
The Cuphead Anti-Piracy screen isn't real actually, the audio plays on the main menu only if you accept the devil's deal, it's not for anti-piracy Edit: I'm aware of the recent discovery regarding the Konami code, I made this comment when that wasn't known
I feel bad for the players who bought Gold Rush or Kings Quest legitimately, only to lose the manual. Or bought the game used and the manual wasn't included.
I remember that actually happening to me growing up. My grandparents had KQ6 on their old computer and threw the manual out long ago for it. My cousins and I basically got at the cliffs stage and never figured it out until years later.
Wait.... Can they sue the game developers? Even if they were pirating yes. But still. I think you could actually win that. Either way jf you have a seizure you also can't buy the game.
*RU-vidrs After Dahr man releases a video* RU-vidrs:Honey Let's get you back to child labour 5 year olds who has no lives:Yes Master Edit:If you Guess This meme right I will give you a cookie
2:11 sorry, You're just getting confused. That's the BAD ending, and is only obtainable if you DIDN'T pirate the game but still gave up your soul in the finale. I remember reading it on the wiki.
I don't have epilepsy, BUT I still approve of these warnings because I am easily startled and flashing lights can at least give me a headache and/or hurt my already bad eyes. I would've been super surprised if I saw Incredibles 2 without the flashing lights warning because those Screenslaver fights? Oh man, they were definitely brutal...
@@jeremyojeda6914 A bunch of children in Japan indeed got hurt from the Porygon episode mentioned. It was banned right after that and never aired in the US. Heck, we never even see Porygon (or its evos!) in the show anymore because of that one ep.
I remember as a kid I was playing a pirated version of Age of Empires 1 and very rarely after opening the game you would see a very low quality footage of a horse kicking a man in the face. I think I only saw it a couple of times but it was enough to traumatize me.
“How do we stop people pirating our games?” Sony: “We tell them that piracy is wrong and make them buy the real game. Nintendo: “haha, seizures go brrrrrr”
Gold rushes anti piracy is really disturbing. It feels to harsh that you get hanged for pirating a game. Ocarina of times anti piracy is honestly really funny and great! I love how they make you not be able to beat the game right at the end. That creepy cuphead theme is not anti piracy. It’s just a really disturbing Easter egg. Also what makes this theme even more disturbing is that the audio file is named “666”
Well the myth first originated when in an update for Cuphead, a sound file was quietly introduced something along the lines of soundfile:cuphead:dontdealwiththedevil:vocal666.
The best idea for one! "Damn I can't wait to play this new Mario. I didn't even pay for it eith- ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dQw4w9WgXcQ.html "
Don't know if it's been said yet, but Gimmick's 'BLACK HOLE' is a reference to the game 'Atlantis No Nazo'. Taking exactly the wrong path through the game would lead to a room with no floor and the words 'BLACK HOLE' as the background, where the player would immediately and repeatedly fall to their death until they ran out of lives. You know, one of those obnoxious old "Gotchas" from those early years of game design.
Wouldn’t it be cool to make this into a movie, like turns out your life is a lie and you obtained it illegally so the main character have to deal with all the strange and scary stuff going on.
The cuphead anti-piracy music is in the files, and viewed in a spectrogram, the the first phase, transition, and final phase of the devil fight can all be made out. Makes sense to put it as an anti-piracy title song.
Awesome video, no fake BS, and even gave credit to where he originally found the information. You sir are a rarity on RU-vid, and do have my utmost respect
I had actually heard of DJMAX, and I was like, heck, I’m a stickler for rhythm games, so I got an iso file for Fever (it was only one of two for the PSP released in America, the other being Portable 3) and put it on my hacked PS3. Unfortunately, the way the game checks for piracy wasn’t actually able to be solved on a PS3, it checks if there is a UMD (the psp’s weird little disc format) was inserted. So I actually got that anti-piracy effect, and legit thought that it was the PS3’s shitty PSP emulation. Oh, and if you thought Fever’s anti-piracy was crazy, BLACK SQUARE’s anti-piracy was even crazier, mainly due to a big piracy problem with the last game, Clazziquai Edition. Not only does it have the glitchy mess that Fever had, but if it detected an ISO folder on your PSP memory card, it would delete save data for Clazziquai Edition. The thing that made this even more believable was that if you had a Clazziquai Edition disc, you could put BLACK SQUARE into a special mode where you could play all the songs from Clazziquai Edition along with BLACK SQUARE’s lineup. So someone could actually believe that it wasn’t the game doing it on purpose, but their PSP actually just glitching out. I actually play it using the PSVITA’s much more accurate PSP emulation now, and it’s a pretty good time. That first run in with the anti-piracy on my PS3 scarred me for life though. tl;dr DON’T PIRATE DJMAX GAMES, THEY FUCK YOUR PSP UP.
I mean, I emulated DJ Max 1 fine, but I do agree that sometimes is best not to lmao I emulated DJ Max 2 and it completely glitched the hell out of my phone (have a PSP emulator on my phone instead of a console) and I thought it was actually part of the game until it started going crazy on me 🤦
One time when I was younger, I sneaked downstairs at night to play Roblox on the computer and I got a lovely error screen that scared the living hell out of me.
Wow - at least 3 of these anti-piracy screens I did NOT know about. And I've watched a lot of these anti-piracy measure videos. This makes up for the mistaken Cuphead one. Great stuff!
In loz link's awakening there is a mechanic where if you steal from a store most of the NPCs call you thief for the rest of the game, nintendo should of made of so that in pirated versions that your name will automatically be thief no matter what,
In my opinion gimmick anti piracy screen was the most unsetting one imagine you are alone in a dark room playing the pirated version and this appears...
Someone should do a Bendy and the Ink Machine antipiracy screen. That should scare the pants off of people that copy video games or do a FNAF antipiracy jumpscare
I just thinking that the game would become so non hostile, and non challenging, that you wouldn't want to play, and don't forget, that there can be inappropriate jokes, or just make it a fan fic XD
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the cuphead one was disproven as anti-piracy and was just an unused song left in the files. My source is a recent video by the RU-vidr "Tuv" who quoted a DM conversation with one of the founders of Studio MDHR, the creators of cuphead. I believe the co-founder said there is no anti-piracy measures in cuphead
With King's Quest VI, you don't 'fall into the pits of hell'. You just fall off a cliff. The death screen, that shows Alexander going into the land of the dead, plays after most deaths in the game.
1:34 its NOT an anti piracy screen like i played it for free downloaded by utorent and look normal song! (Btw this audio file was just found in game unused lol)
Cuphead did not and will never have an antipiracy screen. The track is real, but it never plays in the game directly. There is no way to trigger antipiracy in Cuphead.
the thing i love about gimmick's BLACK HOLE piracy is that it kinda implies that because you pirated the game, you caused a natural disaster where a black hole suddenly destroyed the gimmick universe.
ocarina of time one is amazing never heard of that one before 🤣 albeit a bit useless. Not being able to beat the final boss is certanly annoying and Zelda locking you up is funny as hell but at this point in the game Players have already played almost all of it. Still, fun as heck
I just wanna say the first one that’s cuphead is possible to get without pirating the game. If you Join the devils team you will be teleported to the main screen hearing a backwards version of the main game screen
Actually, it was confirmed that the creepy Cuphead music track wasn't for an anti-piracy screen and someone discovered that it can only be unlocked if you use the classic Konami Code.
I was going to make a game with scratch but it wouldn't work out because I needed a scratch account. Now that I've watched this, I feel like I need to remake the game but with a anti piracy feature where the hero shoots you with a ak-47 every 5 mins of gameplay. The gun shots would put blood on your screen to block you from seeing what your doing. And after 100 shots, the game would ask you "hey, do you wanna claim the pirates pack with the following: chicken hat and baby bottle sheild?" And if you clicked "yes" your avatar would have the items you just accepted to have and ur character would stop shooting you.
There's one piracy screen (Not really a piracy screen) i love and in it's in Earthbound's final boss, where when you get to phase two the entire game soft locks and when you reset your entire save file is deleted.
One of my favourite anti-piracy screens is JSAB where he doesn't even chastise you, he admits he did it too when he eas a kid and understands that not everyone has money to buy every game they want, and he just hopes you will buy the game for real when you have the money to.
This gave me some lessons. When I create a game, and somebody pirates it, instead of wasting time creating anti piracy screens, I'll just put a virus that will be triggered, and unzip itself and dumping a petabyte of self-replicating codes on the pirate's computer. Its a little too much but f*ck piracy The virus will delete itself when my game is bought and installed properly
There’s actually a pretty scary one you forgot. It’s from a German Indie game called Gorebox, a sandbox game that’s pretty much just 3D People Playground. If the game detects cheats or an ad blocker (the only way the game makes money on mobile is ads), it will cut to a black screen with a grey player model in the center, except they have a distorted and bloody face that seems to be inspired by the image from the Creepypasta “Tomino’s Hell”. It will slowly zoom in on the face while red text reading “WHAT ARE YOU DOING” constantly is pasted over the screen. A few seconds after the screen completely has zoomed in on the face, the game crashes. Some would say it’s fake, but the screen is in the files, mentioned in multiple anti-piracy screen videos and, for a while, there was a command in the multiplayer mode chat that would trigger it (/Whatareyoudoing) that was used to test the screen.
