No, it wasn't, let me sum it up for you: Majin, as you know, meant the Devil in Japanese. But, the creator of the screen's/landscape designer for Sonic CD's nickname was Madin, spelling out all the same letters. The creepy music was just the United States boss theme. Not as well known, was that the Sonic pictures were actually Madin's cartoonified version of himself that he created. Some say it was a mix of Sonic and Mario because at the time (and still now!), they were the biggest rivals in all of gaming. This screen wasn't meant to be creepy, but it certainly could have been delivered better.
