I ve been there on a 12 days course "introduction to buddhism" in 2023.....i was in a really difficult place in my life....and this place helped me greatly.

Hi, yes, at least 4 years ago you could keep your camera and record, not sure if rules have changed since then. If you do that just be mindful and respectful of other participants and the monastery residents.

I left my phone and my laptop at the reception but used my canon camera for recording. This was allowed as camera dosn't have internet connection or any entertainment on it 😊

Hi Chet, all good was vegetarian and they also had vegan dishes, I am sure you can check with course organisers when you book it. it was 120 USD for the dormitory room + food + course. very reasonable price.
This is a curupt version of Buddhism. If you need your mind to become inner peace, follow the Theravada Buddhism and their methods of meditation practice especially mindfulness and insight meditation

Yes, you should register on the Kopan monastery website for the course and get a confirmation, then transfer your donation (usually half price of the course), in our case it was $60. kopanmonastery.com/courses-retreats/courses here you can find about all courses and retreats that they have at Kopan.
