Hi Nitin. It is hard to give a definitive answer because how long you might spend in any pose will depend on what the aim of your sequence is on that day. But a rough guide with the forward bends for a Beginner is to start with 30 seconds and extend to a minute or two. If the legs start to shake, you need to come out. We hope this helps. Let us know how you get on! Lin and Leo
As you've mentioned that you followed Iyengar principles, I really want to know few things such as pulling knee caps up, keeping hamstrings tightened. I read a book based on Iyengar principles, but that's hard to follow without visual demonstrations. Eagerly waiting for your reply.
Don’t worry about the legs not being straight, work with them slightly bent and concentrate on lifting the kneecaps and front thigh muscles. Have a look at this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-72bqbdDLAQc.html which should help. Let us know how you get on! Lin and Leo 🙏
@@nguyenanh4084 Hi. We try and answer comments whenever we can. Keep up with the practice and let us know how you get on with the leg work! Lin and Leo 🙏
Hi. Thank you for this series. It's very informative. Question: Are we meant to do Day 1-7 consecutively and then repeat the whole thing until we get to a point where we are happy? Or should we focus on Day 1 until there is some improvement before moving on to Day 2?
Hello Alysia. Thank you for the questions! We would suggest that you go through all 7 days first and then come back to Day 1. Do this a few times and go to the next one. When you find an action difficult, work on that more than the actions you find easy. Forward bends are very important for your understanding of backbends and inversions so repetition is important. Focus on the gross actions first, then see if you can find more subtle actions in the body. We hope this helps! Lin and Leo
Hello. This is a way of approaching Uttanasana that takes it out of alignment and moves it towards Adho Mukha Swanasana (Dog Head Down or Downward Dog). However, you can see from this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wZD96trTGo8.html that the shape of Dog Head Down requires a longer stride. We hope this is helpful! Lin and Leo
Hi. Forward bends can take a long time to perfect and there are lots of factors which influence the time frame. Don't push this too far or too fast. Consistent practice will give you the extension you need but little and often is the key! We hope this helps. Namaste. Lin and Leo 🙏
