oh my lord, that was like the Picasso of Battlegrounds, all those transitions. Lets be real, the vast majority of players would have been content with playing blues till the end and this player just sees 20 other ways to win the game. Incredible!
very true. I would've stuck with the naga build and either ended on 20 spells per turn buff seawitch or finish off with just pure blues build. both could get me third or maybe second, but 1st with this lobby would've been impossible
Congrats on 50k Shady! Awesome too see you spread the love & Show Beter some support. Great recognize Great. You can count on less than one hand the amount of people that could find that pivot & win the game. Amazing content from both of you Keep it up!
Its not a bug, its an order of operations change they made for how spell craft interacts with magnetize mechs now. Essentially, the buff gets transferred to whatever you magnetize to before Beatboxer can get its copy
11:47 So fun fact, that's not a bug, but a stupid change they made to how spell craft works with magnetize mechs to nerf this strat(since if used to be OP) Essentially, the spell craft buff only follows the original minion now, and gets transferred to whatever it magnetizes so that the buff can fall off the next turn. The buff gets transferred to the minion you magnetize to before Beatboxer gets a copy of the magnetization, hence why this no longer works
Nope, it wasnt supposed to happen. In recent patch, they even tell us its actually a bug. Those spellcraft stat supposed to stick in beatboxer. But in the game, its always random stat. Its not even the base game
When you watch Jeef or Beter, it is crazy hoiw fast they think. the see or discover a card and kind of instantly say "wait"..."wait"...and see shit 3 turns from now. i do understand almost all of shady´s decisions, but J & B going above my head several times every stream. (8k Player myself)
What distinguishes players like Jeef BeterBabit XQN, etc. from others is their quick thinking and ability to plan several turns ahead for a winning condition. The reason we can't always understand their game directly is that they don't just think about what's in front of them, but rather about what would be the best play to make to get to a place where they can win from that spot. Which is incredibly impressive.
I watched Beter's VOD of this game and he mentioned that sushi would've been good after he picked dishware. Seems like maybe he didn't see it, but he definitely preferred sushi, I think
Very well deserved. You do such a great job explaining your decisions and you have such a friendly way of interacting. Thank you for the great videos. 😊
Thank you Shady very much for your great content, the beautiful games you play and you got a really great energy that it is really pleased to watch. Humble, nice and a good minded man, keep going. From France ;)
I think your missing a little bit of what's so good about dishware in that spot. Its not just extra money... when you have an amalgam tour group dishware is also a ton of free scaling. So it gives him money AND tempo to pivot to a powerful endgame comp. Sweet video, thanks for the analysis!
