Well some areas have decent internet like towns but outside of town you're stuck with Frontier with is just a little better then dial up. There is a one service that works well out in the country but its expensive its HughesNet for example one big update can take a week at the most one Miner update half or one day so if you want decent speed you have to travel to the nearest town

Consumer choice is negligible compared to the power of Capital and the desire to increase profit. As a vegetarian and an environmental scientist, I can say that if every person on Earth made the choice to eat vegetarian and ride their bikes, global warming would still occur on a massive and destructive scale. For the difference between virus and bacteria, there really isn't much to say except that viruses are not living, but bacteria is. Some people might argue that a virus is alive because it can reproduce. This is true, but the definition of living includes to be able to reproduce on its own. A virus cannot reproduce without a host, however, a bacteria can. There you go ;)

Considering it's impossible to legislate to "fix" climate change without violating people's property rights (making non ecofriendly vehicles or machines illegal, or taxing people for them) through taxation and legalism, I can't really vote for the people who care about climate change. Yeah your attitude about cars is both condescending and inaccurate. A lot of people have no choice but to drive in order to get to work, or even to go get food. Go visit someone who lives or Works in rural communities, or anywhere where the space between locations is vast, and you'll find out that waiting for the bus just isn't an option, and neither is biking. Just getting from one house to another in a farming area in the Midwest can take hours if you walk it. Oh I should also add that there's a lot of vegan or similar products that are horrible for the environment like how almonds being grown in California are one of the major reasons that the water tables there are being depleted like crazy. Because people keep wanting to drink almond milk instead of regular milk. You can't just substitute one problem for a different problem and say you're making environmental progress. Technology is a better solution to all of these problems; cleaner energy, cheaper energy that will allow desalinization to be super cheap for farming, vertical farming, automation, electric and self-driving vehicles, and recycling your goddamn E-Waste instead of throwing it in the trash can will do way more in the long run. There's also a lot you can do to improve your residence to cut down on energy costs, like better insulation for example, or getting highly efficient appliances if you can afford them, so that you don't spend a ton energy - which currently is probably some percentage of fossil fuel. Fossil-fuel, which can often be the only source of energy someone has if they don't live in a large urban area; propane is often the only fuel cheaply available in rural America.
Etterra yeah I go to school in the Bay Area and can’t afford to live close to school which isn’t accessible to public transportation so i have a 100 mile round trip commute. I stay home whenever possible (today I Skyped into a meeting) but the economy makes it more affordable to drive all over the damn place than it is to live near workplaces.

about local sourced food: it all depends on how the food is transported. A big container ship without refrigerated cargo has a very low carbon footprint compared to big trucks. If your "local food" is moved by means of a small pickup it may be responsabile for more emission than a ship across an ocean. Trains are also a good way to move cargo, especially hi capacity electrics ones such the ones that we have in Europe. So think before buying locar for carbon footprint reasons. Buy local if you want to support your community, and if your community produces a good product
I don't like the wording "to believe in climate change". There's nothing to believe. Those are facts. I like to use the term "to understand climate change" oder "to be aware of climate change".

The biggest way to decrease greenhouse emissions by yourself is to go plant based/vegan. The only thing you need to do is to simply change your diet. I mean think about it you can rescue animals, help the environment AND your health. Thank you for bringing this up and not just forget that animal agriculture is actually the 2nd largest greenhouse emissions factor. ❤️

I was a nanny for this super rich family and they were very wasteful. They threw out so much stuff and I bet it took so much energy to power their giant house. They also had huge trucks and like an escalade. It drove me nuts.
I would say I’d have to disagree with number 2 but pose better point in its place: If you should happen to become rich, invest your money into advancing the fight against global warming as oppose to advancing your own status with a flashy house or car.

1) I will fly as much as i want because i have my grandparents in another state and they do not know how to use a computer. Also my cousins are in America and I never had the chance to see them in the last 15 years. 2) I'll eat as much red meat as I want because it's a part of my culture and it's high quality local meat. 3) We have to throw away much food mostly because those are canteen left overs from workplace that we can't finish before going bad. Still, we recycle so it will become compost. 4) I have a car but we use it for long trips or carrying heavy stuff. Mom goes to work by walk and I go to lecture by bike or bus when it rains. 5) I had to wear used clothes from my cousin for most of my life. Now I buy them because I grew up but I never refuse some used ones (except underwear). 6) There are 16 degrees in my house but I cover myself like an onion instead of switching on the heaters. As much as I hate climate change, I won't change my lifestyle after this video.
Wait. What if we were to stop cutting down so many trees and grow more? In theory, plants conduct photosynthesis right? So theoretically if we were to stop deforestation and grow more plants wouldn't that help with the Carbon dioxide emissions? If we were to compensate the amount of carbon we produce to the Carbon plants can photosythesise, wouldn't that mean that we could balance this all out? We could possibly still continue with some of things we do today?
Trees can only help within a 200ft radius. We need trees in rural areas for reasons regarding habitats and ecosystems, not climate change. Trees for climate change can only really help in urban/suburban areas.

While I agree with most of your points, especially that we need to be more thoughtful when it comes the environment, eating choices and transportation habits. However, I feel it was quite unbalanced (lots of benefits but no cons) in some aspects and ultimately would require a fundamental shift on how western society operates. For example buying less could lead to fewer jobs which could to less taxes to fund new public transportation or maintain current public transportation. Typing on mobile so I won't go into any further.
Meat consumption elimination does not overall reduce the GHG emissions. If every person on Earth would to eliminate their meat diets to healthy greens, the GHG emissions would multiply 2-3 times more than food consumption of meat. Yes, consuming 1 pound of bacon is more damaging and less healthy than consuming a pound of lettuce, but the amount of lettuce required to equal that pound of bacon, in terms of how much nourishment and needed vitamins it has, would be an immense amount. I do believe in climate change and agree with these other tips and ways to reduce climate change, I just wanted to put that bit of information out there.
Forget the politicians and take responsibility for yourselves, do what you can. Even most progressives want to talk about global warming and climate change but they don't do anything about it, not very many of them.

I don't think that the biggest burden is on the every-day person. You can use a re-usable shopping bag and bike to work all you want, that wont stop the big coal plants and factories from spitting out millions of tons of shit into our atmosphere without any restrictions. If anything they'll take it as an incentive to up the pollution even more because now 'there's more room for it'
