I guess i will be the wrench in the mix, the hard sell is always how these technologies will benefit disabled humans. However the true market is for the military industrial complex, the benefits for killing are endless right. it didnt solve anything. It just was going through a bunch of algorithms DESIGNED to solve a SPECIFIC problem. Give that same robot a different kind of puzzle and it would just sit there and spin its little hands doing nothing useful. Everyone is all giddy thinking someone will finally make a REAL robot that can learn a new language in a week and be able to solve complex problems only a computer could solve as well as write a symphony and create another robot from scratch etc. Keep waiting. We won't be around long enough for that to happen.
