Would have been nice if it had features like the outlook, eg. Adding a meeting/event mail automatically to the calendar/as reminder instead of typing it out manually through the side bar as of now

Good too watch your video on Gmail with new features. Well, I use Inbox tool from Google for mails. The new features of Gmail like snooze, smart replies are native features of Inbox. I prefer to use Inbox to Gmail. Did you check on Inbox tool?
