forreal.. that lifestyle of riding professionally has totally drained the fuck out of him. like he said. he couldnt really be himself, he was basically forced to be this other person as a rider. wayyy too much on your shoulders. everyone wants to be the best but dont know what it takes to get there... you can tell his got a spiritual side to him.. an hes ready to put all this shit behind him and be himself. a father. i wanna hear a good interview from his pops because hes probably got some crazy to say because he started all this

Every one at Dade City, Bithlo, Hardrock and the other tracks knew you were special back when you were riding pee wee oil. When you graduated to 60s, I can recall seeing you doing things on that 60 that the local A riders might not necessarily huck. By the time we all saw you on a 125, it was obvious. Watching you grow up, and Carmichael, and Ferry and many others like Renner, Pocorobba, Devane, Yoho, it was clear, you were going to the top. I was old, fat and slow and your Dad actually gave me the best compliment I ever got riding a bike one Saturday at Dade City. Meant a lot to me because we all knew where you were heading and who your Dad was. Nothing but respect for that man. Sure, I am selfish, I was hoping for a farewell tour. We were all hoping to get one last glimpse of the great #259. But now that you have opened up and explained it all, I feel for you, understand you and admire you even more James. Enjoy retirement, you've earned it my friend.

JohnnyD's World I was riding 125 B in those days, I’m old and fat and slow on a 450 now, but when James would come to all the aforementioned tracks on a 60, it was absolutely mesmerizing watching that kid on his little 60. He NEVER let off the throttle. His Dad would pull up with all his trophies in the back of his Chevy pickup just to show they weren’t playing around.

James Bubba Stewart. This whole 3 part interview was very emotional and the realest words from deep down inside this man. It gave me chills and no lie fought back a tear or 2. You will be missed but in no way shape or form should we regret any part of your career. We all kno what happened with suspension so kno need to go into that any further. Enjoy your life Mr. Stewart you will be and are missed but most of all I think you will be the most studied rider to learn from. I still watch 125/259 and matter how many times I watch your old tapes it still makes me say how the fuck did he do that. Much love JS7 congrats on the fam and your retirement

Even if you didn't win 7 SX championships,MC 72 SX win record would have been broken and I think politics did come into play because 2014 you were in contention for that SX championship! You earned it, but thank you for everything that you did, all the sacrifices you made! have fun with your kids, it's awesome to hear you talk about it, and see you're happy. I'm disappointed the industry did that to you at the end, you didn't deserve that. You've got a fan forever. Whenever I think about riding and I want to get back on the bike, now that I'M ALSO old and fat I think about you at Millville on a 125 and some of the stuff I watched you do... it didn't seem real, thanks again. I'm glad to hav had the opportunity to see him ride in my lifetime, he is the greatest rider of all time , aggressive, fast , and the ability to read the track was amazing, hope to see James Stewart make expedition races occasionally, that would to cool for the fans , this is Jeremy from dayton, peace!!

The most beautiful thing I've ever seen in the motorcycle world, was the way you rode a 2 stroke. The english you can put on one is unreal. 4 strokes, for me, killed that style. You don't have to really try with the 4 stroke, just roll the throttle. That's what separated you from the rest of the world. I'll never forget, Atlanta 02' or 03', 125 main event, you went down in the first turn. Don't take this the wrong way but I got excited soon as you popped back up. I looked at my friend and we both smiled and said, oh yeah, here we go. That was one of the best rides I've ever seen. You come from 19th I think, to 1st, beating 2nd place by like 42 seconds or something crazy like that. I'll never forget that. Your the man and to hell with them. You done no wrong in my book. Anyway, I wish you and your family the best. Take care of yourself Bubba. Your #1 fan since Muddy Creek 1997, Matthew.

Wishing you all the best James. You were the one reason I'd either tune in to New Zealand's stupidly delayed MX and SX coverage or search piratebay for the OG slicknick's torrents for the last 15 years. You were extraordinary on a dirtbike, an excitement machine whom always kept me glued to the screen. I'll religiously continue to watch your 2014 Toronto SX performance and never get tired of seeing you make the other pros look like amateurs. Cheers James. You are one of a kind.
