I cut down shoe boxes to put in drawers. They work especially well for mnight stand drawers and underpants. Cut the height lower, but also cut in half length wise end-bottom-end then push them together by overlapping to fit the space.
I'm a stay at home mom to one toddler and my house is always a mess, I don't have much context but whatever your house looks like I'm sure it's because you're doing what it takes to keep those babies loved and fed.

I enjoyed the video. I'm not a disorganized person, but... I'm not naturally organized either. I'm always working on it therefore, seeing what works for others inspires me.
I just grabbed the remote contol outlets and clear storage bins . Thank you for your tips! I live in a small house where all four of us are varying degrees of messy, and the struggle is real 😂.
This came right on time! I got so disorganized during my move in August somehow. Now for the life of me I can't get my new place in order. So overwhelming. Getting the labels asap and getting organized this new year! Thank you for the video!! 🥰
At this time I'm finally getting my closet and family rooms decluttered. I am a huge lover of the space bags. I love them for my blankets especially. In order to keep them from biting the kitties, I just put them in luggage. It's awesome and I get twice the room. I also got a set of 4 plastic bins on casters. I got perfumes, lotions, and a lot of the clutter from the bachelor drawer I use as my nightstand. I can literally put it into the closet during the day. It's genius for me. Having the dresser made it look so much nicer both in and out. I got every piece of clothing and did a major dump to Goodwill too. My closet has a ton more room and I love it.
I have these cord management boxes. I took some black acrylic paint and painted the bamboo lids, so it blends in better. I just have them on the floor behind our entertainment cabinet that doesn't sit flat on the floor, so the lids don't stand out being a different color.
Loved this video! I have a large apt..but very little storage space in ALL the rooms! So being able to uncluter what i can is very helpful!! 😊 Thank you!
I really enjoyed this video. I’ve become somewhat minimalistic . Although, I enjoy decor in other people’s homes, in my home, I like less. I have an ottoman with no storage in which I keep a single tray that I use for controllers and the occasional drink. It is also used for my grandchildren’s’ cups and snacks when they are here. I just wish there was a way to organize this tray to look nice because as much as I would like to remove it, it is a necessary evil as is the ottoman . Any ideas would be awesome. Thank you, Kiva! Oh, and Happy New Year!
Kiva the space saving bags are a game changer !! Love it ! Thank you for the idea ! I have lots of quilts that my mother hand made and they stored brilliantly this year !!! Cheers !!!
Great video👌🏾 I used the same night table system. It’s great! It’s been 3 months and my drawers are still neat. I also used them in the kitchen. Such a game changer.
Love the video! We live in a small apartment with a toddler and it gets really messy really fast so I’m always in a constant decluttering/organizing battle. I’m definitely going to be implementing these ideas where I can! Seeing your Nintendo switch and cords reminded me of this. Recently we got a Nintendo Switch for Christmas and since we use a projector and don’t have room for a tv console I had to get a little creative with it. Turns out there are small/thin wooden wall mounted cabinets designed for WiFi routers that can be painted, has easy access to the components inside, and is well ventilated. Now I don’t have to put the console away when we’re done with it! It also acts as a super thin side table next to the couch too and I don’t have to move it to sweep or mop. Thought I’d mention it since it literally has been a game changer!
Hi, kiva, HNY to u as well. Oh, I got that same Ornaments organizer you showcased at the beginning, its so good. I like the thingy to hang the cell charger. Tyvm, i enjoyed ur videos. The bathroom n kitchen version would be fantastic. Keep up the awesome work !!👏🏻👍🏻🤌🏼🥰🙏
I think for my mom, her #1 tip is just decluttering in general 😅. She recently broke her foot so I've been helping her around the house and with running errands. Plus, my 82 year old grandmother is visiting, so my mom had to clear out the guest bedroom closet for my grandmother. But my mom's clothes have always been chaotically all over the place. Her bedroom closet is a walk-in, but looks like a bomb has exploded in there. She says she does store clothes under the bed, usually, but the guest bedroom closet also has clothes. And then she has clothes in the storage unit that she has to switch out each season. And I'm just thinking...if one human has that much clothes, it's time to get rid of some of it 😂. None of it belongs to me or my siblings, either, and she is not married. I think I'm going to try to convince her to part with some of her stuff. Because with a broken foot, it's too difficult for her to clean up at the moment, so guess who such a job would fall to...yep, me. And even before the broken foot, her home has always just looked rather chaotic. She's a nurse who works 12 hour evenings, it's clear she doesn't have the time to dedicate to her home, and that's alright to an extent. But if what you have is too difficult to manage, lessening the burden would be best. No person needs two bedrooms and a storage unit for just their clothes, lol. Another reason I want her to declutter is that I think the weight of it all just becomes exhausting and makes it less likely to be tackled. So, I want to try to help her over ome that. As her foot heals (which, we first have to do surgery in a few days, so it will be a slow process), I want to help her with paring down her stuff. And same for her extremely overstuffed fridge and freezer. Both look like a hoarder's wet dream. I don't think she's actually a hoarder, as she's fully aware of what that is, but she's a "packrat", a term she uses to describe her mother/my grandmother. I think it also is fitting of her 😅.
Hi KB and everyone 😊 just a note the 0:43 these particular organizers will start to disintegrate after a few years 😔 I have them currently and they started to fall apart this holiday season
3:53 the joseph joseph 90L laundry basket with lid is way more discreet and versatile. Nobody sees your underwear on the open and I highly recommend those.
Oh Kiva - it was soooo nice to see your wife in this video. Also - question... where did you get those black storage cabinets in you hallway? Love your video's always! I wish you could come to Utah to help me design my house. Whole house. Love your style! xxxll
Very helpful & yes, please more! I do love your areas of "doom!" And that you are practical---if you are by nature messy it doesn't do any good to expect yourself to become a neat freak, but using compensatory techniques, like baskets, boxes, trays, closed spaces is a great idea. My Achilles' heel is just plopping things down sort of unconsciously until there is an overwhelmingly large mess. I have concluded that the only cure for that is to live in a home w/ no horizontal surfaces. Like, in a parallel universe?
I have space bags filled and new. I have the filled ones in my office. They don’t take up much space. But when you have a few they do. I can’t put too much under my bed. My dogs go under there. And they won’t have any room. I do have a lot under the guest bed. And they don’t go in there. At least they aren’t supposed to. We need some smart labels. We need those for all the totes in our shed. It’s filled with crap. And my husband says he’s going to clean it up. But hasn’t done it yet. I need a cord organizer under my tv. There’s a plug in on the shelf. And I can see cords everywhere. But I also have the cable box and surge protector under there. I thought about getting some screen and putting it on the outside of the shelf. Just so you can’t see the mess. But the remote will still work. You had a lot of great ideas. Thanks for this video.
I like to fold a complete set of bedding into a pillow case. Then I just pull it out and it's a whole bed in a bag. It m and that my bedding stays together when it gets washed as well as I don't mix and match my sets. No more looking for a run away pillow case
Thanks for showing that you actually live in your beautiful home and it is not video perfect all the time. I always wonder where are the everyday things you actually use.
