As someone who dedicated themselves to switch completely from learning photoshop in school to using gimp, It's always great to see a new tutorial video on this channel.
Always love your tutorials! Stay healthy and keep those fantastic tutes coming! They are hugely helpful for people learning Gimp, i always give your youtube to people who want to change!
Helpfull as always !!! Glad I came upon this tut, great work! Btw is there a way to modify quickly a the horizon line or the vanishing point of picture ? In my case trying to get a higher vanishing point of a corridor's picture, I had no other solution to my knowledge than to put on different layer each of corridor component (this is where your tutorial was handy ;) ); the ceiling , pavement, side walls, etc... and use the perspective tool on each of them, then recompose at very end the modified corridor. Would you have a better suggestion ?
Is there an easy way to hide then un-hide the marching ants? I’m working on an old photo that’s been in an elipse mount inside a frame, when inside gimp and I’ve selected around the elipse and inverted the selection, outside the elipse selection isn’t sun bleached as it was hidden under the photo mount, but inside the elipse is, trying to then work on the exposure etc to match them up, would be easier without the marching ants visible, is it possible to toggle on and off the marching ants. Thanks
I have a vision deficiency, and find it hard to read the interface texting?... Why the text on interface display, also inside the menus is so small, and how can it be enlarged?
Yes it can be changed. He has a tutorial on how you can do that. Search for this title "Increase GIMP UI Font and Icons Size | Quit Straining Your Eyes!"
@@levilichtenberg7461 Glad to help. I changed mine to Arial size 11. It is a clear Font and good size for me. You can experiment to find what best suits you
I'm just trying to figure out how to paste a selection onto another pic, and then warp it's angle to pretend to fit on a piece of paper (which is on an angle) I find GIMP is not noob friendly at all. :'(
There are a multitude of ways for creating strokes in GIMP (I have a tutorial demonstrating 3 of those ways). Also, do you miss the rent payment each month?
Just a suggestion . . . You NEED to go A LOT slower for beginners!!! In my estimation, THIS VIDEO IS NOT FOR BEGINNERS. Thank you for trying to assist beginners.
