You don't know stress until you hear the floor boards creak and the sound of footsteps coming down the hall when you were supposed to be asleep 4 hours ago, and God have mercy if there was something coming up early in the morning.
I remember trying to play video games next to my girlfriend at night with her next to me by turning down the sound all the way down but she would still wake up by the clicking of the analog sticks and she would just make this stupid sighing noise and just keep doing it till I would stop playing. She sucked.
Do I recognise this? When I was living with my parents; yes. But now that I am both an adult an a barkeep with nightshifts, I can play games whenever I want
Me: stays up until 9AM playing Diablo 2 Also me: goes to kitchen to get something to snack on Le mom: Oh, someone is up early today!! Le me: *looks at clock and realizes that its 9AM* Again me: *SHIEEEEET! NOT AGAIN!*
One ear I use only after letting the dogs out. So I can hear the first single bark which means they are done with their business and want in. If I miss that there will be more barks and my husband will wake up. He is a light sleeper. He doesn’t care if I stay up late or through the night. I just don’t want to interrupt his sleep since he gets up at 5am. And is a light sleeper who has a hard time falling back asleep.
You end up looking around the room for 5 minutes thinking what to do. Then you hear the sound of the creaking stairs, people are coming down. You having no sleep, unable to think rationally. Sit on the kitchen chair, grab an apple and wait. "Hello, I have been waiting." I do not know what this was about. It went from one thing to another lmao.
I've done that in a pub. Went in during broad daylight. Came out hours later in broad daylight. It confused me for a number of seconds, a number with more digits than I had active braincells at that point. Then it dawned on me.
I’m always scared to put my headphones on both ears especially when it’s afternoon because i feel like my mom is calling my name and if she was and I didn’t hear it she would get mad
At some point, my fridge is gonna get revenge. It's gonna start comming to my room every ten minutes, opening my door and staring at me for a few seconds.
Or the noises consoles make when you insert a game😠 I've gotten kicked off my game so many times for doing that😂 especially when people are having afternoon naps.
Don't forget the one where you're playing super late with your friends and you lose the ability to speak normally and go into this super high state and laugh at basically everything.
That last one takes me back to high school when my friend Ronnie stayed over and we literally played Bubble Bobble all night. My father came down at 7AM and was amazed we were still conscious. The rest don't really apply to me though. I'm almost 50, live alone, have no need of stealth at 2AM, and keep the larder fully stocked at all times. Besides, there's ALWAYS ramen if there's nothing else. amirite?
same with me sir, noodles are always my snack at night, but also french fries and patties sometimes... i didnt have stock of coke or chips coz i dont trust myselves with those things (believe me i ll go crazy eating those things non-stop) and yeah none of those things mention in the video is me, i dont need to be stealthy to get to the kitchen, every squeak of the floor board just gives fear to anyone who hears it so they will remain in their bed LOL XD
Bro I have a great bubble bobble memory my buddy’s dad came home from work early and the apartment was clouded with devils lettuce smoke but we were at like the third to last level after using secret road so we just took it on the chin lol
My thing is if I’ve been stuck on something in a game forever and feel like I’ve tried everything and thought of everything...I’ll be at work and it will hit me...A HA! And then realizing I have 8 hours of work left still so I’ll polish off my Oscar and play sick to go home cuz priorities
For me it’s come to the point that if someone start down the stairs I can say hay “dad” or “sis” or something like that before I even see them they think I’m physic
Has anyone ever been staying up when there not supposed to and playing the game and get that spidy sense and quickly shut every thing down and get back into bed and then a few moments later your parent opens the door to check on you and you heart is racing and your like “I’m a fuckin stealth god” and continue back on the game
I lock my room to prevent my parents from barging in. Only problem is the long wide slit or gap from my door frame, allowing my parents to peek whether my pitch dark room is slightly brightened by my computer monitor. And no, lowering the brightness to 0 still brightens my really pitch dark room. I also put a wind chime outside my room so that if a person pass it the soft sound of the chime can warn me. Yes playing at night gave me superhuman hearing, allowing me to hear the silent noise.
See I wouldn't know because I've been single for just about my whole life, and I am completely fine with this because I can do things that most cant, so ha
when u turned of the pc and moved to the "imma sleep " but u stay up on phone watching youtube and youtube finally decides to give you good videos 28 times in a row
as long as your grades in school are ok, it's ok, been somewhat there (my mom was annoyed by me though staying up that long, did it anyways). your body mostly tells you if you can keep dooin it or should leave it be, if you are feelin ok the next day, procede with caution, if you feel sleepy all the time you definetly overdid it. im not here to tell you that you should keep dooin it, it is the hard way, of dooing it, and chances of not making it are pretty high, make sure to study enough to make it, you do not want to keep going in the same grade for another year, trust me. One of the most important things though, that hit me recently, let yourself get checked if you got a headache for a week, i ended up with a stroke in hospital, at the age of 22, what is not funny when you get the time to think about it, and oh damn you get time when you make it through ones recovery process. i luckily had only a mild one and made a full recovery in just 2,5 weeks, could have ended as a tomato though, so don't play easy with that shit. don't worry too much the chances of getting one are pretty low if you decrease that habit of yours sooner than later. a good sleep can sometimes bring more than an extended gaming session.
This is legit because we all know it’s a thing. Our brains need that down time or else we risk going into non-productive work mode that basically looks like we’re shiftlessly flailing about. Had a manager that would do this...I would say, “Uh, oh...Terrsa’s seagulling again!” Which just means she would flap in from her office squawk and flail, shit all over everything and then fly away in a tizzy.
This was so good and funny! A lot of this is so ME! LOL Especially looking in the fridge over and over. I hate it when my hunger makes me have to quit playing and actually go COOK something!! lol And when I first started gaming, it was like all day and all night until I'd finally just fall across the bed with my clothes on, and my son would get onto me saying, 'Mom, you have to sleep and eat SOMETIME!' LOL
Skyrim legend you are and you also inspired my grandma because one day she asked me if I thought she was cool when she showed me her level 30 something high elf
Be me Play videogames at night Have the sound so low YOU can barely hear. Have your blanket block the light from the TV. Parent shouts your full name Curse in your mind.
Put the speaker into a Choke hold submission. Santino D’ Antonio: How would you do it I wonder. That pillow on the sofa, silent mode, in the fridge? You: My fingers.
Lets set the scene: It's 3am, you're in bed next to your beautiful wife, both sleeping soundly. *Hears a sound that's literally almost as loud as a nuclear explosion* You go to investigate *Walk into the room and see TV on and your 9 year old sun flung OVER the blankets of the bed pretending to sleep* *Sees PS2* You: Oh, ok
I watched my nephew pass out playing skyrim. He was picking a lock and passed out while I was playing on the computer. I let him pass out and like 5 mins later I hear "click". I look over and hes still passed out but he picked that damn in his sleep.
Omg yes... i cant tell you how many times my sleeping has gotten screwed up. "It's midnight, ill go to bed in an hour".... 3 or 4 hours pass before i think to look at the clock, and go dammit...
one time, i had to pee mom was waking up to move to another bed i literally stick to the wall to not be seen, *mission successfully completed and played more*
@@uniquemedia6698 we have a guest bed as well. Sometimes used by us if someone has a divergent sleep schedule to the rest of the family, due to work for example.
Late night smoking gamers have an additional conundrum: whether to attempt to sneak outside every hour or so or simply smoke inside to avoid waking people up.
@@Esch47on take the cardboard from the inside of a toilet paper roll, stuff it with fresh un-used Dyer sheets, and blow your smoke through the cardboard cylinder and out the window. No smell. Or at least very little and it goes out the window. Only works well for pipes and water pipes. Though a word of warning, water pipes make a distinct noise when you smoke out of them.
MelonTakesWalls me too literally I’m sitting here watching RU-vid with my PS4 on waiting for Hitman to update with one earmuff on and there is nothing to hear...weird
I do it when I’m watching a video and playing and I have headphones that you can turn the cups 90 degrees so I can just angle them away from my ear so it doesn’t even feel uncomfortable
Another thing other people probably do: when its getting late and you think you should stop gaming by ??:00 and you keep adding a half hour or hour to that time limit
I had a friend that was accused of being on drugs and slapped by his mom after we stayed up all night, played video games and went back to his house. Unbelievable stuff 😂
@@inact8373 No there's lots of things in this world we won't really know the answer to. My imaginary friends manifest stuff in real life. That's courage right there.
I remember I was playing PSVR one night and started playing farpoint. I got so immersed in the game that I beat it. Like, in one sitting. 8 hours straight. And I took off my headset and saw the sunlight and remember saying "wtf"
>It's 4 AM and I have to get up at 6 AM to go to work. Me: *Just one more game* >10 games later Me: Oh! It's 5:45 AM already? Well I can maybe fit one more game in.
I'm 18 and live with parents but I stay up till 8 sometimes 11 or 12 in the morning daily playing games I laughed when he said 3 or 4 is late. I've done that shit for years lol even when I was in school.
I sometimes feel like someone’s coming (my mom to check on me or something) and i turn off everything and lie down on my bed expecting my mom to come in but it never happens
Just turn off the tv and the controller and throw a rag on your console where the lights are on, to cover it, and lay down and wait. If nothing, you can easily get right back on easily. And if she does come, you wait for her to leave and then get back on or just proceed to turn it off
AliasClyde dude when I was 8 (apparently in 2008 I was stuck in the old times and still had a GameCube and ps2) I would legit just sleep on the floor and game so whenever I’d hear my mom come I’d just put the blanket over the GameCube or ps2 so she wouldn’t see it lol
Me and my friend at 3am Alright goodnight I'll be on n the morning Doesn't go to sleep In another match sees friend Me: You shouldn't be here Him: Neither should you
When you're on your phone at 3am and you can sense your mom coming in the room so you put your phone under the pillow faster than lightning. *_I A M S P E E D_*
20+ years ago my mom didn't get up at dawn.. So i played easily all night (in the living room on the pc) . Saying at the morning,Good morning I'm just awake. When I lived at home, going to school.. (weekends ofc)
yeeah buddy. lol most times my snacks take 20 seconds to 1 minute, so on 20 seconds i’m not gonna make it, one minute i have to quietly run down the hallway, which takes 6 seconds...ish, i pee approximately 12 seconds most nights, when i quietly wash my hands it takes another maybe 30 seconds, that’s 48 seconds, then i quietly run back to the kitchen and wait the last 5 seconds and open the microwave last second. lol
