Thanks, Dave. I'm really taken aback by how much you and others are enjoying these. It's really cool that they strike a chord and I'm glad to share them!
Adam! Were you there Sunday? We were out Saturday around noon - no hail for us windy front crushed me for a 50. Redeemed myself on the back with a 40. Come to the Shuswap! Talking Rock and Salmon Arm G&CC are not to be missed!
Hey Thomas! Nah we were there on a weekday. I was supposed to play Talking Rock earlier this year but we had to cancel bc of Covid travel restrictions :( Had the chance to play Salmon Aarm a couple of years ago and loved it. I'll definitely get to Talking Rock soon!
You said it: mental strength is the most important part of golf and then to recover from a down… Unfortunately you had also rain, otherwise it could have been a quite nice day 😅
Back nine was 4/6 green light drives, 5/9 greens in reg, only 5 bad shots, but 0/4 in scrambling, and 19 putts on the back. You replaced your bad shots with lengthy putts approaching the cup, making scrambling much harder. On a tough course with hard to manage pace you still scored 7 shots better! Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde golf, just the way it is sometimes!
Played this course from the sage tees. Just behind the tees you played. Which is 7100 yards. Was hitting 3 woods like 200 the ball was just going nowhere. Shot 76 from the sage tees. Probably the best course I've ever played with the views. Great condition and great facilities. Prefer this over predator ridge
Indeed I played all 3 just a couple of years ago. It's absolutely incredible how many spectacular golf courses are up that way. I'd love to get back soon.
Thanks! In neutral conditions at sea level, anything over 250 is still great for me. At elevation and with the right condtions, anything is possible lol.
This was so great... I remember my first time playing this course when it opened. So humbling, you get spoiled playing golf in Kamloops. Our pro at the time got all of the golf shop staff out to play this beauty and I came in as low am with a 101. No cover from the wind or sun, such a tough test. Keep up the good work!
I know the feeling of bogey to double bogey medicine as an amateur. Golf is a game of measured highs and lows. After 26 years I will always come back for more of that humble pie--every time!!!! Keep up the great content. GOB
Another very difficult course. Slope about the same as Northlands but strategy to play it is very different. I think it is great that you are playing some of the tougher courses around and not just going sub-80 at Langara and the like.
Thanks, Dave. Yeah I'm not here to curate an image of myself as something I'm not (like a good golfer). Sometimes I shoot 91 and sometimes I shoot 74. I'd rather shoot 74, but I love golf and I think it's cool to share the good scores and the bad. Appreciate the support!
@@NotAScratchGolfer Wish i was as good as Mr Zoeller, but alas Fuzzy is just a nickname i've had for 40 odd years haha. You and GolfSidekick inspired me to do my own golf videos by the way, cheers
@@GolfSidekick star wars Tattooine is a planet in Star Wars. By the way started watching your content about a 2 weeks ago also, really loving it. Cool watching you play courses in Asia. Thumbs up on both channels.
@@GolfSidekick lol sorry my star wars geekism showing, figured you were joking but I couldn't resist correcting. Canada does look beautiful with all their mountains. We have nothing like that down her in southern US.
