if you have problem with starting service prometheus, try to move directories with nssm and prometheus to way, wich doesn't have non-English letters (for example - C: ssm-2.24 ssm-2.24\win64)

I am also facing the same error, looks like something rela related to the yml file. Remove the space and name it wmiexporter and try

This could happen when system cannot find path for nssm or prometheus. Try adding nssm and prometheus to environment variable.

I can fix this problem only when i edit registry in MyPC\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\prometheus\Parameters. I changed AppDirectory to prometheus folder and Application to prometheus.exe
