I'm from Argentina and I'm just so glad Rob's Friday Features are back. I used to watch them way back when I was just beginning university. Now I'm fully graduated, working and whatnot and I still laugh with your vids as much as I did back then! Such a joyous tradition. Thanks for bringing it back!
Igual hermano, me subscribi hace años principalmente por esto, jajaja jugue todos los metal gear por el, y me pongo feliz cuando gana el crystal palace jajajaj
One instant death I remember was from the first Tomb Raider game, when you jump onto the Hand of Midas and instantly turn into a gold statue, totally worth the death to see that animation sequence.
I forgot it was Friday as soon as i saw this, i was like "what the hell, it's already Friday?!" Thanks for always brightening up our Fridays Rob, i'm so glad these are back
Here's my short story with Nier Automata's self destruction: I really thought it was just a troll feature. There's this whole bit at the start of the game where you try to disable it and 9S won't let you, but then you can do it anyway and he promises not to tell. But then I enabled it again anyway and tried it to see what it did. I was at the bunker, so it was an instant game over. I never even suspected that the results would be different in any other part of the game, so I never used the feature again. I thought it was there just for a joke and achievement. Imagine my surprise months later when I encountered a thread about people using it for its intended purpose.
I really really really disliked the mackerel game over. Apparently 2B cannot process it. Game over. It's even an achievement in game too Also the lore is insane and depressing
My favourite death was in Disco Elysium as well. Only 5 minutes in, I tried to get the spinning shoe out of the ceiling fan, slipped, caught my tie in the said fan, and was hanged 😂😢
I fully expected "Pissing off Vlaakith the Githyanki Lich-Queen with dumb snarky remarks to her face in Baldur's Gate 3" to be in this list of deserved deaths, when she literally casts _Wish_ to wish the group out of existence and into a Game Over screen.
I've been campaigning for this on and off ever since watching the Cyberpunk campaign. Hoping for various TTRPGs so we can see many flavors of chaos. Hopefully not all double tetanus flavored. 😂
Fun fact about Samara in Mass Effect: her voice actress, Maggie Baird, is in real life the mother of Billie Eilish and Finneas. Neither of them are deadly Ardat-Yakshi, of course. ...as far as I know.
ROB'S CORRECTION CORNER... I'll be looking forward to this every week from now on 😂 I'm gonna find myself forever looking through the comments to see what rob got wrong 🤣
A Friday with a Friday Features video is always a good Friday. I wonder if Rob will be watching this video in the future at 10:59 when he does another Friday feature of him watching RU-vid videos.
Oh _that_ kind of instant death... I thought you meant like in Snake Eater where as soon as you gain control of Snake you can hurl him off a cliff edge, possibly accidentally.
To be fair when we start listening to Cartmen, he violently kidnaps our parents, causes us to make a temporal distorting fart, and makes it always Christmas so not wanting to listen to him seems fair.
I once finished a tough mission in Hitman 2 Freelance mode only to try picking up a mine that i left at the entrance so I could get in. I tried to use that entrance to also escape and unfortunately forgot it was a proximity mine 😎
In the point and click game Deja Vu for the NES, there was a "self" option that allowed you to try to use any item on yourself. Some items you had to use on yourself to finish the game. The game also gave you a gun... which provided a way to have been an entry on this list.
Never knew about the south park cube one. I said there punching that thing for a good while because I EXPECTED something like that but nothing ever happened.
Awesome! Love these top 7 Access lists. How about these..... 7 times games made you laugh! 7 times games broke the laws of physics! 7 times gamers didn't buy games that were great! 7 reasons being a gamer means you're cool!
So, in this mistake-free video... Why doesn't Rob's mom wear a wedding ring? P. S: the NieR deaths were hilarious. My personal favourite self-inflicted demise is in Final Fantasy XV, via botched landing! Took many attempts to learn how to do it properly, too.
My favourite BG3 insta-kill I've had is where you are tasked by the god of the githyanki to kill the visitor in the artefact. I thought "She's probably exaggerating her powers, if I just don't do it it'll be a story point and we'll move on." Nope, immediate death when she realised I'd refused to do what I said, fair to say I won't make that mistake again.
For a self placed death, my one friend in HellDivers2 had put down anti personnel mines, and ran into them himself THREE TIMES in less then a minute (respawned) killing himself, over and over.
The instant death that sticks with me is BG3 from valk i bow before no one not even a God and i dont listen to demands instant game over did not see that coming
I actually do have a question...I'm collecting Aerith figures at the moment, and I'm wondering about the one you have on the shelf back there. Which one is it? I want to know if it's one I don't have yet.
First thing that poppee into me head: The vat of molten steel in a location in i think, The Pitt DLC for Fallout 3? I think im wrong but yewh... it was just begging for me to jump in..
