TOTALLY unplanned but my good friend Melissa did a review on the one foundation NOT in this video this week :D Here it is if you'd like to see it bit.ly/36IETvi Have a great weekend FAM-ily :D Stay Warm!!
Oh the Teint Idole is just gorgeous on you!!! Ok, don't hate me but I liked the dual powder!!! I thought it was just gorgeous and flawless on you! But they were all so lovely. Your skin is just perfection. And thank you for linking my video. I am so grateful. This was just terrific. Much love, Melissa
The Tient Idole and the powder foundation looked gorgeous on you. I have dry/mature skin but I don't fancy wearing a cream foundation. I usually stick to a serum type foundation or a cc cream. Awwwwwww Mary, your poor skin after using 10 different products day after day! It's appreciated love, 💗💜💗
I have been waiting for this video and was so glad it popped up!! I like to wear the Teint Idole when it is warm and Renergie Lift for the cooler months of the year when the heat is on and my skin feels more dry. Loved the way the your skin looked in the powder foundation, will have to try that next. Have a good weekend and stay warm.
I really want Lancôme’s foundation stick. Can’t spend that money right now but gonna see if my husband is willing to give up food for me to look better lol❤️
I just bought that Teint Idole (I need to get a different shade cause it’s a little light) and now I know from watching you not to put all over my face like I do my other foundations cause it sets quick, now I need to get that powder. Didn’t realize they had that many foundations, I have dry skin so now I’m interested in that cream one, wish it wasn’t in a jar though. I think they all looked so pretty on you, you have beautiful skin.🥰 oh just saw the powder on sale on the Lancome site, yeah.
Oh for sure I know that feeling you are talking about too well. Until I got the hang of my "powder routine" I was starting to experience that as I aged and I was getting really sad about it too!
Hi I am new to following you and enjoy your info and videos. I do have a question for you, what do you use for your lips and a primer or a routine that you do to help lipstick look smooth and nice? If you have talked about this before, please forgive me as I just started going through your videos. Thank you so much!!
Well first WELCOME Melinda :D I use the MAC Prep+Prime Lip Primer if I'm going to wear lipstick and if not I've been using the Sigma new Lip Balm that is PH balanced and turns my lips just a little bit pinker and nourishes them. If you did decide you wanted to try the Sigma use the code GLITZYFRITZY .. it will save you 10% ;)
You look beautiful in anything you wear but I did love the first. I think I was most impressed with the setting powder! Sold me on trying them both ! I just got you eye brush set in and then I have been sick for over a week and too weak todo makeup yet ,go figure ,but I’m so excited to use my new eye brushes! This was a really helpful video with all the options they have, thank you!
This video it's great and a big help to someone like me that never tried/used a Lancome foundation 😍🙏🏻 (as you know in this side of the pond we can't return opened makeup so I always bought less expensive ones and since I don't wear foundation daily never thought of it as a essential, like eyeshadows are 😂) Thank you lovely!!! 🥰 Have a great weekend!!!! Love you!!! 😘
Oh girl it would change my life too!!! I would be very very selective in the make up that I bought if I couldn’t return it if I didn’t like it!! that being said I only returned one foundation and I’m regretting doing that because I didn’t think about that the moisture would’ve been really good this winter ❄️ I was just thinking I didn’t want to retouch it!
I am revisiting this review to see if you have found out that Lancôme has discontinued the Absolue BX which has been my HG foundation to see if you know of one that is as good. It is the best at minimizing the look of pores or any I have found. All help is appreciated.
Lancome Dual Intensity powder was my very first Lancome foundation in my 30’s and I loved it 😍. I may have to try it again or the Absolute liquid and see how they work, now that I’m 70 😉
@@GlitzyFritzy good grief, I think I’m just going to give up trying to navigate all the choices….pro aging foundation, blurring powder. I went to Ulta yesterday to try several different things, and they had nothing I was looking for. Ughhhhh
Hi, girlfriend! I feel like it’s been forever since I’ve checked in. I’m trying to get back on schedule and post and watch regularly again. Are you sitting down? Seriously. Are you sitting down? Because you probably need to be sitting down for this comment. Guess how many Lancome foundations I own.... None. Are you OK? You didn’t faint, did you? 😉🤣 but, seriously, if you were to recommend a foundation for me, knowing that I tend to have drier skin, which one? I’m kind of thinking the one in the jar. 🤷🏼♀️ You are looking fabulous! I’ve missed you and everyone else attached to RU-vid. 💗 xoxo, Swoozie
Wow this a very helpful video with the Lancome Foundation. Appreciate you working hard for this video. The first one with the powder is beautiful!! Love you girlfriend! XOXO
So funny - was having a really bad day and took myself off the the mall to Macy's and the Lancome counter, and the salesperson suggested that 2nd foundation (the $69 one), in the same shade as you. I also bought the new concealer. They were out of the loose powder (so that is on order) and she suggested a Clinique blush. I used to wear Renergie Lift all the time, but since lockdown have pretty much stayed with a BB cream/and foundations that I've had for a while.. I let my hair color grow out during lockdown, so now I am a vibrant icy silver - so to me, in contrast, my skin has been looking really yellow. This foundation is amazing - because I didn't have the powder, I decided not to use my current one (Laura Mercier), and 6 hours later, it still doesn't look as if it needs powder. I spent a bunch of money, but I think it will all be worth it! I had actually gone in to buy the stick foundation that Melissa uses - but the salesperson didn't recommend that for me. Saw this just a few minutes ago! Do you still like the foundation?
Oh yes I treasure my Lancome foundations!! $69… That would be absolu then… it is my go to in the winter! So happy that you like it and sounds like your hair is heavenly! Thank you for sharing this with me!
Great video. I had watched this before and I just watched again. I had ordered Teint Idole from QVC and when it arrived, it had expired and was a horrible shade, possibly due to oxidation and poor storage at either Lancome, QVC or the delivery company. When checking reviews for it at Macy’s online their were many customers complaining of the receiving of expired product from the. My foundation was one month past expiration. I might try again, but I would prefer the Lancome Cream for very dry skin, (which I have), if Lancome is still making it. I’m finding it very difficult to find my shade in Lancome too.
I’ve only tried one brand of micellar water (Ever - a direct sales co) & found it to be drying. Maybe I should try the Garnier to see if I like it better. (Just realized I put this comment on the wrong video! 🤣 Meant for the empties vid!)
Years ago I worked at a major dept store I used the dual finish powder but with a damp sponge..made my skin look like velvet..but my ultimate treat was Dior..it was sooo expensive back then even with my discount.
I have only worn foundation maybe 4 times in my life. I have Charlotte tilbury flawless it’s so drying and wrong shade. Oh well no biggie much 💗 Xoxo 💋
I ended up giving my Charlotte Tillberry foundation away for that reason... whenever I would put the powder on it would get dry and I just really need to set my foundation
First off you always look dazzling. What a longed for video. I am so curious about that powder foundation. I'm wondering if it is any kind of a time saver. Most of these foundations were quite impressive. I found this video informative. So very helpful. Loved all the eye looks. Always so pretty. Your face went through a workout for certain. Only you would do such a wonderful thing. So glad I know you. ❤
You can make all the foundations work and look beautiful. For me, I lean towards anything for normal/dry skin. Enjoyed your reviews. See you next time ❤❤👏👏😊😊
Good morning...This was a great video! I always have a struggle picking the right shade of foundation, particularly ordering on line. What is you skin tone Mary?
Wow this is helpful! Thank you Mary! I liked the Teint Idole on you best but Dual Finish was pretty close. I used to use the dual finish powder but never got the right shade- always too dark. 110 Porcelain looks perfect and I use the same shades in other stuff. Yes I got the hard pan, when used with a damp sponge so I used it dry. I might have to try it again.
Oh let’s see… That is the Stephanie Lange and sigma eyeshadow palette and then I used the new Becca duo primer eyeshadow’s… The green one over the top of my lid! Thank you so much
Hi Mary, I thought the first foundation that you applied is the prettiest one for you. The color looked great and the coverage looked great. When you put the powder on it made your skin look flawless and very smooth. I think that one is the winner! You did a fantastic job reviewing and testing all those foundations. I think you help a lot of people in choosing one of them. I just watched Melissa's video on the Lancome Foundation Stick. She gave a good review and said the reformulated stick foundation was even better than the old version. I have been wearing a foundation from Clinique called Superbalanced Make up in the color Cream. It's a nice foundation and I haven't broken out after wearing a mask. I will also wear the Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick and that works well also. Both do well under a mask on me. Thanks for taking the time to do all that foundation testing and for posting this video. I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Love, Karen
I love the Trent idol, I have that ,but the that absolut looks beautiful! I’m gonna have to try that!❤️Thanks for making this , I know that it took forever!❤️💄
Wow, you did a great job with these reviews. I have been planning to try a lancome foundation once I work out my shade. We’re back in lockdown so no shade matching in store.
I know what you mean Sandra...they are real strict at the Lancome counter about touching anything. Only reason I bought these foundations is because I've worn Lancome so long I already knew what my shade would be ;)
I've been looking forward to this video. I thought all the foundations looked amazing, so I can't decide which I liked the best. Have a wonderful weekend and be safe. 😊
Yes that’s what I mean it gets hard and when you put the powder puff in nothing will come out so you have to take a spoolie and take a layer off so that the product works again
As you know, I recently got the same shade as you have, in the Teint Idole foundation, for free with my points; it is $62.00 CAD here. I have only worn it twice, because I thought it was too light on me. I usually take the lightest, or second lightest in most foundations so I was surprised the 110C looked light. I'm hoping to pick up the Catrice foundation that comes with a dropper in a darker shade to add to the Lancome, or I'll just use extra bronzer, I guess. It looks so lovely on you, however! We don't have the Absolu in either the liquid or cream here! We also have the Teint Miracle ($58.00 CAD), RenergieLift ($62.00 CAD), and the Skin Feels Good ($50.00 CAD) for the remaining liquid foundations. For powder foundations, we have the Dual Finish ($55.00 CAD), and the Teint Idole Ultra ($62.00 CAD). Thanks for all the time you spent to do this video, missie! I'm finally through the fourteen day isolation at a hotel, and we finally got to go to Mom, and Dad's on Friday. Dad had a massive GI Bleed from a bleeding stomach ulcer, and he had a heart attack as well. He's still quite weak, as his hemoglobin is still half what it should be, but I'm hoping he'll get feeling better soon. I'm not sure when I'm flying home yet. Thinking of you; love, and hugs, Mary, Sherrey💕💖💕
I am so happy to hear that you finally got to see your parents and I pray your dad gets his speedy recovery I’m sure he feels so much better now that he has seen his girls!! Once I get his blood levels back up he’ll probably have to hold him down!!! It doesn’t really bother me if the foundation is lighter because I can always bronze it up but when it’s too dark I can’t stand it even if it’s just a half shade! Love hug and kisses!!! 🤟🏻💋
@@GlitzyFritzy Thanks, sweetie! It's been a long time since all four of us have been together, so it's good to be with each other! I'll try the foundation when I get back, and see if the bronzer helps. Love you, Sherrey💘
Thank you SOOOOOOOO much for this review! I've been trying to find reviews for the AAbsolute Cream Foundation (in the jar) and haven't been able to find many. I have mature skin and my skin is also EXTREMELY EXTREMELY EXTREMELY dry. So I've been eyeing the cream version for a while. I just have a couple of questions. I noticed that you powdered every single foundation. I don't use powder at all because of how dry my skin is. And because my skin is so dry I never have any longevity issues. I just tend to use all cream makeup. Anyway, does this foundation have a luminous/dewy finish like the website claims? And does it settle into fine lines/wrinkles? My birthday is coming up next month and my boyfriend is going to let me get a nice foundation. I can't wait 🥰🥰 I also think you and I are around the same skin tone, which will help me purchase my shade online. What shade are you in the Lancome Cream Foundation (in the jar), and if you have/have tried the Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation which shade are you in that? Most people seem to compare every foundation shade to what color they are in the Double Wear Foundation because it's so popular and everyone has it or has at least tried it 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Anyway, thank you SOOOOOOOO much for this video. You really have helped me so much in making my decision 🥰🥰 I really enjoyed this video. You are so STUNNING!!!! ❤❤❤
I think I'm the only person on RU-vid that has never used Double Wear LOL I can not think that you would not be thrilled with the Cream version of Absolu! I have it in the lightest shade Pearl 10C. On me it absolutely does have so much dewy luminosity to it that I wouldn't be able to stand it if I didn't powder it down so I'm assuming it would be the same dewy on you but if you didn't need to powder it like I do it would be beautiful! I think you will love it...just save that receipt girlfriend!! xoxo
I think that Teint Idole looks good as always but I think I like the Absolu BX liquid is stunning and since you did convince me to get (you did not that , did you? 😉) to buy the Idole one, you convince me again to buy the Absolu! The Dual finish powder I wore this so much in my 20's, it was my only go to foundation and it did make my skin look like porcelain! Mary, the makeup look you have in the Absolu presentation, grayish taupy silvery look, that should be your signature look! It looks so good with your eye and hair color! Much love sweet girl!! xoxo
Thank you so much MJ I do remember what that eyeshadow was that day… It’s Tom Ford’s nude dip palette and I reach for that one a lot 😂 if you get that foundation you’re going to fall in love with a $70 foundation 😂
Hi Mary I loved this video as a way to find the best lancome foundation for your viewers. Teint idole and the absolut looked great on you (as did the powder which performed much better than I expected). The problem with Lancome for me is the shade selection - only the teint idole has a shade to match my skintone and I have super dry skin. I mainly use it as a mixing foundation to give a bit more longevity to other more hydrating foundations tbh, as it doesn't look good on me alone (without a massive amount of prep underneath). The jar foundation would suit my skin so much better, but isn't available in enough shades - making it unwearable as it's far too dark (my shade in teint idole is 008/091 depending on which country it's bought in). As you said you're in the lightest shade and I'm far far paler than you, but many French high end foundations don't cater to the extremes of light and dark. Best wishes.
Well Loraine you have royal blood then LOL that was something they use to sayto me at school because I was so fair. They would say "the fairer the skin the more royal the blood" LOL isn't it funny how that stuff gets started? But indeed I know what you mean and I too will use Teint Idole to give other foundations more OMPH! xoxo
@@GlitzyFritzy Lol Mary I hadn't heard that before. I believe there is some extremely distant royal Scottish blood, but from "the wrong side of the blanket" ie a one night encounter. Some of the palest skin in the world is found in Scotland and/or Ireland and I'm an example of that. The extremes of shade don't sell as well, which is why they're so poorly catered for. It's only the brands who have 40 plus shades that really cater to me and others like me. Thanks for making me chuckle. x
So glad to have found you 💕 I ordered the 24 hour foundation yesterday and while looking for reviews, I saw a lot of twenty somethings. I'm soon to be 54 so thank you 😊
@@GlitzyFritzy So I tried this foundation and I am in love. It looks natural, doesn't settle into wrinkles and doesn't break apart or get sucked into my pores. Finally 🥰
Happy Friday Mary!!! I love the Teint Idole on you but.....I think I'm really liking the Absolue better!!!!! Your skin looked like no makeup...very skin like and very flawless!!!!!!!!! 👍😃. Have a lovely weekend, it's pretty nasty cold here too....won't be going too far this weekend🥶🥶🥶. 💋💕
