Yeah...love French Nude, which is my fave palette for stage makeup!! For regular life, I use single shadows mostly. Anyone who likes great shadows needs to try Lancome!!! The "Chic" of Smokey Chic is pronounced "sheek."

I’m watching about eye shadow but can’t wear any and my eye isn’t healing very well as usual due to lupus I have complications.I want my young healthy eyes back where I could make them up like Donna Mills from Knots Landing. I always copied her eye makeup .❤️🥰

Not to throw any shade.... Lancôme palettes are crazy expensive, plus it's very very powdery, the fallout is crazy. The sponge applicator, I used them as gently as possible, but it got damaged after 5 applications. The absolute worst eyeshadow palette I ever own.

In the vast sea of beauty, thank you for highlighting these palettes from Lancome. They are very expensive for sure (so are Dior & Chanel), but when you look at the colour stories, each is well curated with shades you'll use every day. I'd totally use the red/rose colour. It's beautiful! Thanks for the virtual hug too! I needed that! 🤗🥰

In the 90's I loved Lancome. Like you, I saved and got one thing, the Dual Finish foundation compact. Loved it. I usually bought the Christmas lip gloss compacts also. Memories.

I love Lancôme eyeshadows. They are so easy to use. Thank you for sharing all of them. Uh, Mary. Why are you pronouncing Smokey Chic "chick," instead of "sheek?" You must have had a lapse. We all do. Plus, there are the words we're just clueless about -- at least I am. I found out yesterday that the a in praline is pronounced ah, not long a. xo~linda

Hi Mary lol to the Malibu rum - wasn't my tipple of choice, but some other things were that tasted like a fruit drink until you tried to stand up lol. I haven't had an alcoholic beverage in many years (due to the tablets I take), but when I was a lot younger and going out with the other nurses on a night out - it was a wilder time lol (I also went to festivals and bike rallies where the alcohol was flowing). I haven't tried a Lancome eyeshadow in many many years and also used to save up to buy one thing from their counter - usually a complexion product or mascara. I can't use their skincare unfortunately (rosacea and eczema), but their makeup I always liked. I think the newest beige one might just go on my wishlist though, as it may be really pretty on my ultra pale/cool toned skin. I love a smoky eye and it was my go to throughout my teens, twenties and even thirties - I'm still a rock chick at heart and still on a motorbike at 50. However nowadays I find a smoky eye is more of a night out look for me and softer shades work better for everyday on my hooded eyes. The taupe and amethyst palettes are pretty, but perhaps indeed a bit dark for me. Best wishes.

@@GlitzyFritzy I do love it, but i can't ride alone anymore (due to balance issues) and I need a back brace to sit pillion. However as long as i can still heave myself on the bike, I'm not giving it up - disabled or not. Sitting pillion is fine and better than not at all. I'm happy to still be able to enjoy that feeling of freedom it has always given me, even not being able to ride the bike myself anymore. A motorbike helmet is not kind to makeup lol and can rub off the complexion products (however carefully applied), but eye makeup tends to survive the process intact. x

I gave most of my Lancome palettes away since I never used. I did keep the French Nude. I also got the big palette. Have a mini one, from a box, called lavender grace that I love. I didn't realize you had so many smaller Lancome eye shadow palettes, Mary! The bigger Heart one is gorgeous! There are a few of the small ones that I don't think I remember even seeing on you (like 'Rose Fusion', 'Reflet D'Amethyste', and 'Drama Denim' '), but I may be mistaken. I agree with Mel; the palette with the greys, and silver colours, 'Smokey Chic' , looks stunning on you.! It's funny, because some of these palettes are named with an English title ( like 'French Nude') while others are written in French (like 'Fracheur Rosee')! I have barely dipped my toe into Lancome since getting their foundation which I do really like. I always had the perception that their small eye palettes were a bit boring, and they were curated for sassy, little 'ole ladies! Dang it! Now I am one of them! LOL! I'd have to commit to really liking the colour story before purchasing a five shadow palette for $64.00 CAD, however. Maybe they will come out with one that is primarily cooler, lighter to darker pinks, with a darker anchor shade ! Thanks for sharing the make up, about which you are so incredibly passionate, Mary! Ahhhhh, all of those pallets are gorgeous. Those paint by numbers are for people like me!!! Lol lol lol. Maybe I'm a forever eyeshadow beginner, but that's okay. That was quick and fun! You know I love anything Lancôme from you! I bought the foundation stick and the concealer and LOVE them both! Then I bought a little box that had a sample Génifique, the eye cream and the face moisturizer with spf, oh and a fabulous face mask! I love these palettes especially on you!

Love this look on you! Wow! I owned a Lancôme mascara that I used for years [kind not the same tube LOL!] But it started flaking on me, not sure if they changed the formula or what but am really liking the Sky High mascara these days. Like the Beige Brulee one & the Smoky one the best but I have palettes that are close...

The last time I had a Lancôme palette was when it had the strip of shadow for liner. I ended up giving it to my MIL cuz the pigmentation was not there. I’m going to have to reconsider them again. The heart palette looks beautiful! They have a new one on the Ulta website. It’s on my wishlist ❤. Always a joy to watch your videos! Love you bunches pretty lady!😊❤️💄

As much as we used to go to the Lancome counter, the only eyeshadow I bought was a single. It was a dark but bright blue, and the gal thought me how to smudge it over my eyeliner. Lol, I was smoky before smoky was cool. 🤣

OMG I just decluttered two sample Lancome palettes I had that were faves for me for years because they were so easy to use. I think I got them from Nordstrom after buying some Lancome skincare stuff like four or five years ago. I had pretty much hit deep pan on 80% of the shadows so they had a good run and it was time for them to go because I was really not using them anymore. I actually like teh Lancome formula.

Hey Mary, gosh I had to go pull out my one and only Lancôme palette! I forgot all about that little gem. Thanks for the reminder. I don’t know if I can use it or not. I used to use all their products then for some reason became allergic or sensitive to the eyeliners. I always loved them back in the day and may revisit this brand again. All of those palettes are gorgeous! My allergies have been crazy this week and I haven’t even worn makeup since Sunday. I hope you had a great Easter. I cooked for my sister, daughter and three granddaughters. We had a great day. A Rum runner sounds mighty tasty and I don’t drink anymore either. If it would knock this crud out of my head I’d be tempted though. Sending that hug right back to ya! Much love and God’s blessings!
