QUESTION: Is your plantar fasciitis pain worst in the morning? Or is it more of a sharp, shooting pain? 🦶We love our subscribers!🦶 Also let us know what topics you want to hear about! For the shoes and orthotics recommended in the video: wp.me/p9imRX-54n
Great stuff! I had a bad case of plantar fasciitis this past April. It was bad enough that I was walking about like the cowboy in the video. After not running for several weeks (though still doing some walking and cycling), it was only marginally better. I tried the most commonly recommended stretches, but they were only aggravating the PF and my Achilles. I was actually starting to wondering if it was a stress fracture. Thankfully, an orthopedist checked and confirmed that it was not. They had me work with a physical therapist to address some underlying issues. There were some muscular weaknesses, including a weak foot muscle that was allowing the foot to overpronate. So they gave me a bunch of exercises (foot, ankle, calf, hip, glute, core, etc.). To my surprise, they suggested that I start running again. Only, I needed to keep it short and easy at first. Also, just 4 days a week. They said to base my mileage increases on how I felt. After running in the morning, if the foot felt good by that afternoon, I was OK to add 5 minutes to the same run the following week. If not, I would keep it the same and reevaluate the following week. As badly as I wanted to run, I found myself questioning this strategy. I'm 48, so I probably don't recover as quickly as a lot of younger people. I spent a lot of the first month feeling pretty beat up. However, by the second month, it was feeling noticeably better. By the third month, it was barely noticeable. Now, I'm over an hour on my Saturday long runs and right at an hour for the other runs. No issues at all. Plus, I think I have a much better strategy for moving forward. Keep up the good work!

Please please please let me know those exercises that helped. I am unable to run because of heel pain and waiting to get back to long distance running.
I feel your sincerity on a deep level. The way you talk and explain things is just so caring. It gives me hope and inspiration to lose the weight I need to. Thank-you.
I read ALL the pamphlets! I thought everybody did! I don't carefully read every word of disclaimers and privacy policies, terms and conditions on internet sites before checking the boxes. But for information about medical stuff? I read it. I also read the detailed info about prescribed medication.I am a 58 year old obese woman.
I was wondering if you had more information on Plantar Fasciiosis. I've had plantar fasciitis for 9 years now. I am not exaggerating when I say it is ruining my life. I used to be very fit and I can now barely walk around the grocery store. I think the scar tissue must be severe.
Try putting something in between your toe and the little ones ( make more blood )come through the foot and then do long term stretch over 2 min. Massage and make them stronger with weight on
I tried stretching, inserts, all kinds of stuff. What finally worked!?? Massage. I had lots of knots and tight muscles in my calf and inner thigh. My bf massaged and self massage a few nights in a row and got lots of relief. Makes sense that tightness in the upper part of your leg will pull on the Facia in your heel and foot. Release the tension at the root cause and get relief at the lower distal areas.
I got it in both heels so bad I can't walk or stand in one place for more than few minutes at all and I don't even know how or why. I'm 26 male, not overweight, desk job, fairly active in the gym but don't do heavy impact exercises or walk great distances + I've been wearing custom orthotics for a long time now. Never in my life before had any problems with my feet.
I have nerve pain, as you mentioned on 1:14 And I feel uncomfortable when I squeeze my heel as you did Some times I feel numb on the heel in the morning but it's not painful I just feel the pain when I stand for like 10 minutes or less when I'm barefoot
Thanks for the great response Mary Beth! I did purchase it on Aliexpress.com, it was a magnetic foot model with the detachable pieces. It was in the $120 range. If possible, we would appreciate a quick & easy rating from you, and a good rating makes a BIG difference for us! g.page/r/CaxJ9b-O6o27EAg/review Thanks again for watching!
I think the takeaway is that if you are middle-aged or older, and have developed chronic PF, then what you need to do is somehow immobilize the foot (i.e., the boot) and somehow stay active in order to stay healthy and heal.
Hi my name is Janet. I have a problem I woke up one morning with my large bone on side hurting and also my large toe also. What can that be and any ideas. Please respond.
All natural techniques to heal don't work? Yet that cut on my finger always heals. And if you break your arm believe it or not the body heals that itself too, granted a doctor puts on a cast to stop movement. I get the point you're trying to make but the body is a self healing mechanism and trying to downplay that is disingenuous imo. That said fixing heal pain is HARD and your video and information is appreciated!!!

Can 30 yr olds have fat pad atrophy? Something bizarre going on with my heels. One side feels fluidy (bursitis maybe) and one side feels like walking on bone. Both hurt to stand on
I got diagnosed with plantar fasciitis last year and it has steadily gotten worse over time, but my heel pain is in the bottom center of my heel so just behind my arch and I had an ultrasound done which showed my ligament attached to the bottom of my heel is bunched up causing pain
