I just ordered my 24 JLU Rubi yesterday. I got my VIN today. I ordered it with the Xtreme 35 package, but I plan on leaving it on 35’s for a while too. I also got the steel bumpers with the Warn winch and the technology package. It’s pretty much everything I wanted. I appreciate all you do. You and your videos were one of the biggest reasons I ordered it, and I’m pretty excited about it. Thank you. This will be my 4th Jeep after owning a YJ, XJ, and TJ.

Nice and honest review. Regarding the chipped paint - I have mud terrains on my 2023 Willys and realized that a lot of stones that hit my sides come from my own tires. Solution I found - removable RokBlokz XL mud flaps. I tried other brands - not wide enough, also some are too soft for gravel. The RokBlokz has two sizes, and XL is perfect for the job.

Thanks for mentioning my RaceChip water intrusion experience. It really was a small splash of a few drops (about 5) on the led pannel that shut it down RaceChip did not help me. They put me on ignore. I did successfully build a water tight box using my sailing and fiberglass construction experience. I tested the box with a direct hose stream of water and it kept the water out. I don't know what it will do to any cooling requirements, and RaceChip will not address that engineering question. That was my solution. My recommendation is if you plan on doing any water fording in your Jeep, don't get the RaceChip. As far as performance, I do still like it after putting my 38's on. I can tell the difference with the RaceChip disabled and with it in race mode.

Dude I really appreciate this video. I was considering ordering the tailgate reinforcement, and now I won't. And the wipers were a little consideration. I believe the 2024 Willy's comes with the LED headlights, so I'll probably just stick with those when it comes. If the XR was available with stick, I'd probably order that, but it's only for auto, and I gotta have stick on my future Jeep. Thank you for the honest reviews. It's awesome that y'all can come back and say, "we thought these would be cool, but we were wrong". That honesty is huge.

I had the same rattling on my 2020 rubicon. It was coming from the “TRAILRAIL READY” insert in the tailgate, not the spare tire carrier.

Where I can see the wipers excel, when there's a lot of ice/snow on the hood and you're running de-icing windshield fluid. I've been hauling a snowblower in my ram and trying to keep driveways clear and the build up on the hood would block the sprayers. That fluid won't freeze, but it will be deflected or blocked by build up. Worth the extra cost? Maybe not at that price point but that would be nice in some situations. Great vid man thanks, were working at buying a wrangler in the next few weeks

I think they wanted to do something to mimic the sasquatch package. But what makes the sasquatch package great is mostly for their low tier models. You could order a base Bronco and have serious business lift/wheels/tires/lockers. That's a big deal. But anybody that upgrades a Rubicon is probably gonna wanna go bigger.

Great video. Sucks the race chip didn't work out. I have a Hike It X9 throttle controller on my gladiator on 37s, wife has one on her JKU on 33s, and my dad runs their XS model on his gladiator on 35s, and I'll have one one every jeep I own that they make one for. With having a manual transmission sitting on 37s without regearing yet, it was an absolute necessity. The other jeeps just run so much better with them and makes the throttle so much more responsive to eliminate those EPA nanny regulations they choke out the accelerator with. Can't wait to see what yall end up doing with the 2 door that's coming. Keep up the good work.

Haha. That’s what I tell people. If you’re planning on your own wheel/tires/suspension, skip the XR. We got the XR and LED packages and love them. But we have no plans on changing lights of suspension components. Will pick up some of those rockstopperz, didn’t know about that!

You had the opportunity to team with Clayton and add a lift to a brand new JLU Rubi XR. This is a major change to your Jeep that you were able to take advantage of as Super star RU-vidr should. Most XR buyers are not in thy situation. I can tell you personally the XR package is a great package that is factory covered and built to wheel off the lot. Love how your build is going and great top for the multiple grills and headlights. Would the tailgate hold with a larger bump stop ? Wipers are so gimmicky IMO they’re almost cringy and take way from the build. Seem over the top when everything else is purposeful on the Jeep K.I.S.S. Method TLDR XR = good JPP wipers = bad

Buses have had the wiper fluid in the blades for years. They usually disconnected so I could give you a bath with washer fluid if you passed in front of my bus.

I was considering those wiper blades (still am) but the price would have to come down considerably before I would make the leap. I can't justify $200 plus dollars (or more in Canada) for wiper blades!

With the lights, does that include a heater? Ontario Canada here, and driving with LED lights in the winter, without a method of melting the snow, would mean more stopping to clear the headlights. Just wondering. Thanks

Agree on the bump stops. I have the Mopar tailgate reinforcement with a Rough Country spare tire extender combined. It took a really good set of silicone bump stops to keep the tire secure. So far so good. I haven't hit any really good trail bumps to see if it can take the load.

The packages are different too, but I kind of like them. I neeeeeeed Alpine, and before you had a bunch of other add one, and now it's almost it's own upgrade.

I had wipers blades similar to these in my 87 chevy 1/2 ton. They worked great until winter. That's when they would freeze up and not work at all. LOL

Could you please make video on Rubicon 4xe vs rubicon gas vs rubicon x What are the differences I am confused which one should I buy ….if I go with rubicon 4xe what will be the gain and if I go with rubicon gas what I add in it which I can’t add in 4xe rubicon As they said 4xe rubicon can pull less load than the rubicon gas … and we can’t have recon package with 4xe rubicon…. I remember hearing that for some reason they're not adding it to those. I just saw an interview on another car channel that technically the grilles are all different on every model, but you have to look very closely. Not sure how true.

This is really good stuff. Okay, now we have Grill Karens? lol. Corporate speak its called family resemblance. I like the 24 Grill. Not enough to change mine. Rain X on the Gorilla Glass windshield works wonders. Bugs wipe off with gas station bug wipers. Sooo many options, so few $$s, and Jeeps evolve.

I recall configuring a 392 back then... spot-on about the 2% interest, but way off on the asking price. An already loaded 392 were closer to $80k. The few additional options I checked off had the price in the mid-$80k.

Okay, I gotta say... What's with everyone slagging this grille?! I don't get it, I actually like that grille, it looks good on there. People are weird. ... And I've always wondered about those tire carrier reinforcement hinge things. Sorry to say, now that is dumb... That style. Cuz to me it's not actually doing ANYTHING! I thought the point of something like that is to help with weight on the tailgate. So unless it has a full hinge setup, and bolts up INSIDE the vehicle. It's really not doing anything... Your rear door will still start to sag. So your current style makes no sense, and doesn't do anything. Be interesting to see you change it out to a proper (working) setup. See if inside it was getting close to sagging.
