@@DonTwanX And another +1 for safety, because it's keep women, who are known bad drivers, out of your way ...then again, it will attract Asians ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RqPpAmiZSNo.html
I got a double bubble windscreen to redirect air on the highway from straight to my chest to closer to over my head. It makes highway riding comfortable.. It works.
same they have a purpose this bloke on the vid has no idea.....also if u look at bikes that race in the isle of man u will see a lot of high windscreens....and he said some shit about look at moto gp bikes and same as moto gp??? anyways who gives a fuck what the moto gp riders do there track pussies
See I'm lucky as I'm too fucking short the wind goes over my head anyway 😂 but yes new riders tend to go for cosmetic "look" visor's rather than ones that are practical and redirect wind.
Never heard a single person say they were getting windscreens for "high speed runs". Its usually guys who want to keep the wind off them for longer touring rides but still run their sport bike.
I personally disagree with the grips. I'm not a professional however I do notice a big difference in the feel of grips and are normally the first thing I do when I get a new bike just for my own comfort.
Grips and pegs are subjective. If the stock ones really bug you, then changing them out might not be a bad idea. Also, if first bike is someone else's thrashed up ride, you might need to. That said... mmm, Kuryakyn ISO grips....
I can understand the exhaust kit but sometimes its needed, my dad has a cbr600rr and it had stock exhaust, we cpuldnt hear him drive next to us on the highway very well, he got a new exhaust and we could hear him 3 cars down, much safer.
Loud pipes DO save lives as much as idiot will laugh but I'm not the one that's going to be dead because a car didn't see or hear me. Again. Better things to bitch about
If you really think you have a loud exhaust for safety, you are lying to yourself. It makes no diffrence, unless everyone else drives slow (less wind noise) or you are already in front of everyone else. It sounds better and saves weight, thats the only reason.
@@timojohn9773 very few cars suffer from wind noise issues due to these things called windows. You can definitely hear a medium volume bike thats accelerating towards you and if you can't you need to get your hearing checked
1. Some grips actually do feel better than stock ones especially in the rain 2. Bar end mirrors looks cleaner and are generally favorable on older style bikes 3. Some stock bike exhausts actually decrease power and torque to match with regulations and changing them does help.
@@centripetal25 that's a good point. Probably don't shell out a lot of cash if you don't intend to keep the bike but make sure its loud enough to be noticed?
For the visor, I'd recommend a transition. I love mine. I can ride from light to dark without having to change it out. Not an issue if you have one with an integrated visor, but my helmet lacks that feature
1. windscreen -- I've done an aftermarket windscreen on a ZZR600, a Ninja 250, an FZ6R, and an SV650S. I've liked all of them. They a) reposition the flow of air -- that might be higher or lower or whatever; b) if smoked or dark can make the instrument panel easier to read in certain lighting conditions; c) change the look / shape of the bike 2. tires -- yup 3. tank grips -- yup, I first added them to my ZZR600 back in 2006, and my FZ6R and SV650S got them as well 4. bar grips -- meh, I did this on my ZZR600 and it was marginally nicer 5. mirrors -- yah I wouldn't remove my mirrors but I might try different types; on my SV650S I added mirror extenders 6. tinted visor -- this is why I *always* have two visors with me, the one on the helmet and the other in my tankbag (Joe Rocket Manta XL) 7. exhaust -- on a beginner bike -- yah, I agree; but just adding an FMF slip-on to my ZZR600 gave it a bit more immediate throttle response and helped me hear the engine above the sound of the wind and through my earplugs (no jet kit was needed); my SV650S had a full race system and was jetted (it was the carbed model); I can see the benefit of a stock bike -- stealth and more neighborliness; but I also see benefits to a louder exhaust including cluing car drivers in to your presence
Well if I have bar-end mirrors I'm gonna spend more time looking in front of me making sure I don't hit yellow Porsches since I can't see behind me anyway
I am 1.91 m tall and on my CBR600's I had the "double bubble" windscreen to eliminate some turbulence which, at a 120/130km/h was quite noticeable and annoying. So, while I agree with you (they can look a bit weird sometimes), they can be functional too.
Yammie Noob, I am an old veteran and I agree with all but 2 things. 1- Condoms, as women age you want a thinner condom. 2 - Exhausts along with a re-flash is mandatory to upgrade. The EPA has the fuel injectors mandated to shut off when the throttles close. This causes jerks in transient power & can severely hamper cornering when power is reapplied. All bikes are easier to ride once re-flashed to get the EPA out of the ECU. Re-flashes should be done with an exhaust to get your best performance out of your ride. Seriously, try banging 50 year old women and you will want the thinnest condom that you can find.
A full exhaust system shaves kilos of the weight of the bike, which in turn improves acceleration, cornering, handling and deceleration. The difference won’t be huge, though. They also sound and look better!
The trouble every rider has been through is questioning whether to blind during the day and being able to see at night or being able to see during the day but being blind at night
You put bar end mirrors on because most stock mirrors are very difficult to see anything out of, bar end mirrors allow you to get a picture of whats going on behind you without you in the picture. Bar end mirrors also don't vibrate like the stock mirrors do. A lot of stock mirrors vibrate creating a blurry image at specific RPM's. Bar end mirrors solve that problem. You prove again you don't know what your talking about.
I have had multiple bikes and now ride an FZ-07 that I think is much better than the ones I've owned. (97 cbr F3, 2002 cbr f4i, 2006 zx636, 2002 shadow 750)
I agree with most of this list. I would disagree about the grips. On my first bike it was just a cosmetic change to add a little accent. I put heated grips on my current bike since I commute to work year around here in Norther VA. Makes a big difference in cold weather.
D3V1LD0G I changed my grips to a wider more firm grip which feels better in my hands and adds to the cosmetics... now if your putting dirt bike grips on a street bike your nuts. i have heard of the glue getting loose and grip coming off.. like the one the guy installed on the harley in video. use the proper grips for the proper bike... True story i was riding my CBR F4 and my left gip almost came off... I noticed somthing didnt feel right after a turn and that was the stock grip which is glued. i shit my pants.. also due to the bar end feel off..
The bubble windscreens do have a noticeable function depending on the bike. I'm 6ft and had one on a 650r and noticed the wind was hitting just the top of my helmet instead of blasting me right in the face.
Lean your head into the mirrors to check blindspots, thats what ive always done driving cars and do with bikes, though giving a quick head check doesn't hurt to be sure either.
After market exhausts do actually make alittle more power specifically at bottom end. Now if you wanna believe they dont thats up to you. Plus a decently loud bike makes it easier for people to know you're there.
got my aftermarket exhaust for 60 dollars on Amazon, and it sounds just as good as the name brands. people don't realize you don't need to drop half a grand for better sound.
a "starter" bike is a bad idea in general. The idea of throwing money on a bike just to get used to riding, then selling for a loss, is crazy to me. i bought the bike i wanted right after i got my M1 permit (2006 r6). i rode it carefully until i was comfortable and ended up loving it and riding it like a champ. i admittedly dropped it 1 time in the first couple weeks (luckily had sliders installed) because i hit the front brakes way too hard and ended up with only the front tire on the ground and wasnt able to maintain control as i landed. that was my only drop in 8 years of riding that bike. If you have a good head on your shoulders and are somewhat athletic and coordinated, just buy what you want and be cautious. my motivation to drive cautiously was the fact i spent 10k on this motorcycle and dont want to damage it. if you get a well used bike youre more likely to abuse or race it and get yourself into trouble.
Sarah King right, well i am American, as is the video publisher, and the term "starter bike" is not exclusive to countries with new rider restrictions. Many people push new riders to buy a toy first bike regardless of the laws.
Actually, the mirror tint visor offers great visibility at night. I honestly have no idea what you're talking about with that one.. However, I agree with everything else!
I wonder if yammie got permission to use footage from other tubers or just took because he felt like it....the same way he felt like crossing a double yellow line so he could drag knee (rip Porsche)
It falls under the fair usage law. Since he has only taken a small portion of the person video and talked over it. The law is very specific as to what can be considered "fair usage" and what is content infringement. BESIDES that RU-vidrs uploading videos are not actually copyrighting their content. ONLY large companies can normally afford to do such a thing. SO really the only thing people can do is to set a Content ID claim. SO as long as you are not taking someones entire video and re-uploading it, using a small portion is actually perfectly fine (even if the content is copyrighted).
My goodness I can't believe the amount of time all these people who hate yammie are wasting. For whatever reason they are still watching his videos and trolling about his crashes. He was definitely at fault, but man can you guys move on to other channels if you don't enjoy this one? Is there really nothing productive you can do with your day, maybe you can pick up a book. His videos are smartly done, funny, tons of sarcasm while still managing to be informative. I still enjoy them even though I am a perfect rider, have never made mistakes and would never pass anyone in a curb over a double yellow line (that last one is actually true). Thank goodness he was lucky and nobody got seriously hurt, time to move on.
sergione their tiny cock syndrome won’t let them. They have such sad miserable lives that they have to follow and insult someone who was in an accident to feel like tough guys. All because they take something he says personally, Feckless cunts and keyboard warriors is all they are.
My friend has a Kawasaki Ninja that he bought a few years back and it had some aftermarket grips on it that were super smooth, at first he was like ok this might work. He later got some stock grips off eBay for like $20 and he said it was way better.
I'm so enlightened by some of these comments! Oh please tell me more about how the the 5-10 HP net gain from a full system coupled with the 10 lbs saved is so crucial on your STREET RIDDEN super sport. Most of which already accelerate from 0 to 60 in 3 seconds, stock from the showroom floor. It'll shave vital seconds off your 2 mile ride so you can pose in front of the bar, coffee shop, etc. that much quicker.
Well 50cc smotos in finland have restrictions in the exhaust and goes like 50kmh downhill. Then you buy a 200e aftermarket exhaust and you go 100kmh thats it.
Outstanding performance with some great ideas. Although, if you are looking for sponsors, you may have screwed the whole, sales in aftermarket parts, AND the pooch. Keep up the critical thinking. I liked the choices too. Spot on brother, my brother of my subscription and thumbs up dude.
i like my bar end convex mirrors. they actually allow me to see more than the stock mirrors. the stock mirrors on my monster 1200 only gave me a great view of my elbows and very little behind me.
I removed the mirrors from both my Yamaha R6 and Ninja 636, put a single bar end mirror on the left side. I can both see better, on both sides left and right, and I can also adjust the positioning while in the place I would normally sit while riding. I hated with a passion having to lean forward to adjust my mirror five or six times to get it right. It was a pain in the ass. The bar end solved that problem right away.
My bike is fully stock except 2 things. It's a 2018 Ninja 400 and has a Fender eliminator (the old one was ugly), kept the stock blinkers and put a Yoshimura fender Eliminator. Also got a slip-on two-bros exhaust. Had the dealership install this. No fuel management needed. 100% worth it. I love hearing the bike start up in the morning and it's saved me a TON when dumb drivers can't check blind spots. Or downtown riding and people start to walk in front of you.
Agreed with most of them and also learned something new (tank grips), however, can't agree about the mirrors! Good quality bar end mirrors like CRG Arrow have better visibility than most stock mirrors despite their small size. At least so on my KTM 690 SMC-R and BMW S1000R. Stock mirrors tend to vibrate and have a straight glass, with convex aftermarket mirrors offering much better visibility.
Agreed. I run Ninja 250. All stock. There is no reason to mod it beyond few stickers. Works perfect the way it is. Modding would easily eclipse its original value and barely improve it, or maybe at all. Saving bucks towards upgrade!
Fool doesn't know a thing, mocked the 300 which I currently have and thinks exhausts don't add power? I only have a cheap aftermarket one and all I can say is it shits on a 300 without one.
Exhausts don’t add powe without proper fuelingr. At most you will gain 3-6 HP. The biggest difference is the drop in weight. On average is 10lbs. That’s a big difference. Especially in a light 300CC bike losing 10lb is a big difference.
Had to downrate you soon as you mentioned regarding tinted visor at night. I've ridden 8 years all year around and found a tinted visor to be the best addition to night time riding. It takes the glare from car headlights that can distract and knock your planning for the next corner. Especially on country lanes.
If you're a real rider then forget about riding in circles on a track and come here to Germany, but if that's not an option then it sucks to be you... Lol.
Every road is a road course. Germany was fun to ride in. Fast as hell on the autobahn then you could have fun riding to the town down the road 30km. Lots of twistys and then random straights and soft curves to gain some speed.
the bubble windscreen on ninja 250r is great for keeping most of the wind off you. I don't know about performance but it is more comfortable, and looks much better tinted
i can agree with you all the way until exhaust . another good reason for even a noob to put atleast a slip on is for sound for other vehicles that cant hear you.
Good call on the rear view mirror, i personally love the stock ones cause yes it's easy to see behind you. I once got on a buddy's bike and he had those bar end mirrors, felt horrible, kept have to turn my back. They totally blow👎🏼👎🏼
the first mods i bought for my 650 was tank protector, cup holder, phone mount, underglow red led, stickers, dice tire valve cap, skull license plate bolt all for $100
I removed my stock wing mirrors because they didn't adjust outwards enough to not have me fill 70% of the picture, and I'm a skinny 160lb guy. Got bar ends and it made a world of difference but I'm sure better wing mirrors would have done the same.
Mods on my z1000 ends which knocked 32 pounds off stock pipes, and upgraded the front disc/pads, so now the bike stops in feet instead of yards, and of course new pricey tyres every two years, of course the downside to all this i have less money to buy food meaning i lose weight, then i can go even faster!
I was talkin to mat mladin last week. Even he said he couldn’t usually tell if his bike had an extra 5 hp. If you need that extra 5 hp from pipes for an extra $1000 you da man
I feel like the tire bit was a definite diss aimed at Shinko. I have heard a lot of good things about certain Shinko tires though, like the podium series.
Guilty of the tinted visor, but I carry clear eye protection under the rear seat compartment for when it gets dark. I found out quickly that not being able to see shit at night or flipping the visor up and catching bugs in the eyes isn’t exactly what I call fun. Great video!
I got aftermarket full exhaust system ( Two Brothers Tarmac)and a Power Commander. Not only sounds great but also add 4 HP and torque to my CBR650F. By the way I am getting a CBR1000RR or GSX750 for my next riding season. Because I like the way my CBR650F feels for long distance riding.
1. My double bubble has dramatically changed the airflow, but then again, I am 5'1 and now the wind just goes over my head. 2. Again, I'm 5'1 so my knees don't touch the tank so tank grips are useless for me.
Good information. the fact that it’s directed at new riders is something I’ve noticed some trolls ignoring. That said I wanted to say that my new Puig windscreen makes a massive difference on my Tuono even though it looks awful. I recognize that replacing a a wind screen is not helpful for all bikes but that fact that it can make a big deference on some is the point. Yes I know a new rider has no business on a Tuono. Not the point.
Okay I understand your grudge with taking off mirrors, but for me its a necessity. I have extremely broad shoulders that often get in the way of the mirrors so when looking I tend to only really see myself. I bought rectangle bar mirrors as they allow me to actually see things in my blind spots. Sometimes people take the mirrors off for practical reasons
In most cases, yes... but I changed out my stock Harley grips with some black padded metal Kuryakyn grips. It has a larger grip, improved comfort, and helps with my carpol tunnel.
All this from the dude who has trashed his bike time and time again. I plan on getting a bar end mirror, because the stock ones no matter how much I adjust them I cannot get them to see past my shoulders and have to tuck myself/arms in just to see anything.. Whereas a bar end mirror has no clearance issues with me being in the way at all..
I agree with everything except the bar end mirrors. I've been riding around with the Rizoma's for about 10 years now and I can actually see things unlike the OEM mirrors on my first gen Z1000 that gave me a nice view of the top of my wrists.
Not gonna lie, new cheap tires are better than worn out good tires. I bought some Michelins (IIRC) on the cheap for my ZX7R when I ran the last tires down to the wires. Grip was way better and so was finally being able to have confidence in the bike and not worrying about the tire exploding on me on the highway. Think they were like $120 each mounted.
