Do you have a home resort contract? If not, I don't wanna ruin your hope, but that's fairly unlikely at 7 months in advance. Those resorts are just SO in demand, it's actually baffling.
This reflects what i have found every year. We always go the first/second week of December depending on when Thanksgiving is. You have to book at 11 months. I love the decorations and the party feeling of this time of year. It is a bit cold to enjoy the pool, though. We rotate between VGF, BWV, BLT and sometimes Jambo/Kidani villas. I look forward to going to the new Poly tower in 2025. I would love to spend Christmas time in the cabins at wilderness lodge but i dont have the points (with my large family we would need 2 of them)
Ooohhh every year in early December?! Wow that's awesome. And yeah I'm not surprised to hear you see this year after year. Definitely where the 11 month booking advantage is huge!

I could've told you about the first week in December. It's my holiday trip time. Although I'm an atheist, I'm a sucker for Christmas decorations and music. I have also had very mild weather both years I've done this trip when Fort Lauderdale has been freezing a few weeks later at New Year's Eve. This year, I booked SSR at the 11-month mark and I was indeed shocked how soon it was unavailable--well before the 7-month mark! Same for AKV and, needless to say, Riv. I hope it's just a fluke and will not be difficult going forward. Thanks for your info!
Yeah I have no real religious affiliation either but I do love the Christmas-y vibes. It just kind of feels like everythings a bit more magical, everyones a bit more nice, etc. Can't beat it haha. Riv does not surprise me at all and maybe not AKV given it's good points value and how much people love that resort. SSR though yeah pretty surprising!
@@PixieDustPhD Keep in mind, this is just for my particular nights in early December (don't want to reveal the exact nights.) SSR and AKV still have a lot of December availability. Riv not so much, which is funny, because even I, a huge fan, don't think their decorations are particularly appealing. I much prefer AKV this time of year, and I suspect SSR is going to be really nice too. These resorts have almost the exact same points charts if you disregard the value and club rooms. I think AKV is about that soaring tree that you can sit around or view from the Massai Bridge. But SSR is really appealing to me for this time of year too. Long walks in cooler weather on the expansive grounds. This will be my first trip there, so I'll see.
