I would of love to see a full remastered " Jet Set Radio" . another " Twisted Metal", " True Crime" , sequel " Indigo Prophetcy", " Half Life 3 " , more music maker games like " MTV Groove Maker" " Manhunt 3" , " Max Payne 3" & another " Fear " sequel.
To play Devil's Advocate, EA has thousands of jobs at stake, and isn't willing to risk the massive impact a product of their scale flopping would do... Unless it flops because they put no effort into it and also did a bunch of diversity hires but didn't even bother to check if their hires had skills basically assuming women and minorities all have no skills and ruining Mass Effect Andromeda and fuuuuuuuuuu...
I remember seeing Scalebound announced at e3. I was soooooooo excited about it. A videogame mix of Eragon and Monster Hunter, with a modern twist? I was soooo hyped. And then I was really sad when it never came out. :(
Don't feel too bad about this. For every Breath of the Wild or Assassin's Creed: Black Flag, there's a Spore or an Assassin's Creed: Unity. The higher the hype builds, the farther it can fall. ...Or maybe I'm just telling myself that to feel less sad about not getting to play Scalebound.
Hearing about Scalebound as a person who LOVES Devil May Cry (and just started playing Bayonetta) breaks my heart. Also, I wonder if the main character Drew was meant to be somewhat like Nero from Devil May Cry 4. They both have that inhuman arm with scales on it thing going on. Too bad we will never find out. I would have loved to play it.
No mention of the fact that the very first Legacy of Kain game was Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain? You know, the one that ACTUALLY had a character named Kain in it? Or that there was in fact a sequel which featured the protagonists of both games (Kain and Razael) named Legacy of Kain: Defiance? Hell, Shifter wasn't even a "sequel" to Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, but instead was the original concept for the game before it became a Legacy of Kain game.
I remember The Agency, a MMO shooter where you played cartoonish spys or Rambo-esque mercenaries against each other. There was some gameplay demos at few gaming conventions and I was eager to try it. Then sony canceled it.
I remember Capcom announcing Kaio: King of Pirates for the DS/3DS years ago and how awesome the concept of animal pirates from asian history sounded to me. Then after their first announcement and sharing some cutscene/screenshots of characters, it looked beautiful, but little did I know Capcom was starting to lose its appeal anyway. I read about it in a gaming magazine but didn’t hear anything else until I looked it up for myself. I was very let down but by that time not surprised. Not sure if anyone else had heard of it, but I thought I’d throw that out there.
I think the fact that P.T was canceled has cemented it as a classic (even if it was only a teaser) but I don't see how it could have ever lived up to the hype and would probably have been a completely different game to what we have played.
It is pretty funny how different the old OXbox videos are, so I'm glad they didn't get cancelled before they could develop and even have a spin-off, both of which I love very much.
I was genuinely excited for the World of Darkness MMO - I need my Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines fix/sequel/spin-off/whatever. And then they cancelled it!
I can think of what would most assuredly have been a great game that we will never get to play.....Kingdoms of Amalur 2! RIP a piece of Ellen's Joy....
I hope Project Rap Rabbit gets picked up again and finished! I'd play the heck outta it! I also wish Scalebound wasn't cancelled, it looks amazing. I'm already a 20-something who loves EDM, and adding a dragon as my best bud would just make me immensely happy.
I'm not sure what you expected with LMNO, it's EA, the moment it seemed like the game will be good they canned it They've got a reputation to maintain, they can't go around publishing good games!

When Jane said about getting taken out of the brunch place - reminded me of the Simpsons episode where Homer goes to the all you can eat seafood buffet. Same thing kinda. I think Jane would have left on a stretcher though, and not in the arms of two huge sailors.

Omg legacy of cain i 100% forgot about!! I played that game so much! Loved it. Was such a good game. Can believe sometimes how you can forget about things over the years even after having such a good time with them. That little clip of original game you showed made all the memories come flooding back! :D
Bytheway: Pillars of Nosgoth and Shifter aren't "unproduced games", they were the precursor concepts to the original Blood Omen and Soul Reaver respectively.

I'd say that them cancelling the Infinity 4.0 game isn't as bad as removing multiplayer from the old ones (1.0, 2.0 and 3.0) because of some unnecessary linking to their no longer existing Disney Account services. So no sharing your Toy boxes or INteriors, no text services (no longer functioning bad language filter prevents saving texts), no "Radio Disney" anymore. No multiplayer at all. A very dicksney move... Instead of them removing that forced stuff to enable at least a limited multiplayer (you know "friends only" or something), you're stuck in that game and your creations by yourself. The game lost about 40% of its developer provided content and 100% of the user provided content just by taking that offline. The game starts with about 2% of its content in the starter box and you have to buy specific expansions or characters to get it to its 60%. Even at the current discounted prices you'll still spend about $500 to just get all the characters and play sets. That doesn't even include the discs, themes and cars unlocked by booster packs. Sure it's not required but it still is pricey to get the full still available content. It's now like playing Minecraft in forced single player. Or "The Settlers 3" with iron melting places producing swine/pork. It's just not as fulfilling anymore.

It's a shame about the Legacy of Kain, they should atleast do some kind of remake or a remasted version of the older games, since it seems that we won't see a new game in the series for a long time

Legacy of Kain series has the best dialog I EVER see in any media. And also best story and dark humor+troll moment. (You meet final boss on 1st level, he start monolog like good final boss for minutes, then say something like "oh, the teleport is charged, goodbye for now")
It always seems that games with dragons as a main focus get pushed to the wayside..... (case and point: scalebound..... and the horribleness that is Skylanders which used to be Spyro.....)

Star Wars 1313 is the most prominent Lucasarts cancellation, but I was so looking forward to Pandemic's Star Wars Battlefront III! Also some time after 1313 it was revealed that there was a Darth Maul game in development and too sad that never got done! Harrumph... Also, Guillermo del Toro and cancellations/delays kinda go hand-in-hand :P Add 'Hellboy III' to that list, Jane!
I heard of an indie game called Home Free awhile back where you play as a stray dog in a procedurally generates city and the main point was to survive day to day life by begging, stealing, or doing tricks for food, fighting or fleeing from other dogs, finding little nooks to sleep in at night, and the developer even had their backers dogs programmed into the game. How cool is that? Then it misses its release date and completely fell off the radar soon after. Only backers can read the developers updates, but I did read in a forum last year that the game was in trouble. Too bad. I was hoping it’d be the next Tokyo Jungle. It sounded like everything I wanted in a game and more.
Why is Hollywood so obsessed with using CGI for *literally* everything? Remember when Last Crusade needed a young Indy, so they got River Phoenix instead of asking ILM to shave 30 years off Harrison Ford? I think it's some kind of plot by the S.A.G.
Because it's cool and it's impressive and builds immersion when they pull it off. It sucks to be taken out of a movie because the CGI looks bad, but it's also bad to be taken out because two different actors don't believably look like the same person. There's a time and place for every trick a filmmaker has.
There was a game called Possession that was supposed to be a PS3 launch where you played as a character known as the Enslaver who controlled an army of zombies
oh prey 2 how i miss you before yo ugot rebooted into a not bad game but not "prey" that i wanted. idk. I just have this weakness for bountyhunter style games. those are just too cool and everyonce in awhile i like to show off the prey2 E3 trailers to people who never heard of it just to get there lil hearts broken.
How did the Legend of Zelda Wii U demo not make this? that spider sequence is BEAUTIFUL!! BOTW is great and one I'm SUPER happy they made but I'm still mourning over the loss of that demo
I'm especially sad about the legacy of Kain series. I used to read about that Series in the 90s and didn't finally actually get to play it until Soul Reaver came out but finally found a copy of blood Omen legacy of Kain in a pawn shop randomly in like 2002.
