Homelander CAN go to space. There's a scene in season 3 where Homelander is talking to the recently fired Stan Edgar and Stan Edgar mentions how nice the view is from the top of Vought Tower, Homelander replies "you should see it from space".

I like how season 3 proved that he's not invincible, just *extremely* resilient. It goes back to the Predator quote "If it bleeds, we can kill it." Season 3 proved he can bruise (which is basically broken blood vessels under the skin) and he also bled when Maeve jammed that metal in his ear

Ryan has to play a key role because the show wrote him into existence, and practically made him a necessity after season 3.

Stormfront being homelanders mother would be just the type of messed up twist to expect from the boys. 🤣😭

It probably never could’ve happened because the guy was pretty nuts when we find him (and pretty dead when we leave him,) but Mindstorm 100% could’ve killed Homelander pretty easily. His powers clearly work on Soldier Boy as we see in Noir’s flashback and the fact that Soldier Boy is very careful not to make eye contact. He explains that Mindstorm traps his victim in an endless nightmare until they dehydrate. Homelander is so mentally fucked it wouldn’t be hard to trap him in own brain, then just wait a few days, week to be safe, until he’s dehydrated. You could also drown or suffocate him. In season 1 they very vaguely explain why it didn’t work on Translucent but it definitely would’ve. The problem with killing Soldier Boy was that he’s very resistant to physical harm, but you could’ve just put him under and cut off the oxygen in the tank or filled it with water. The same would probably work with Homelander.

In the boys: diabolical, the face cream was applied to the normal person once, not multiple times. In the show he just imagined all of the stuff that happened and in reality he put on the gel and exploded because they put in too much V

Personally, I'd like to see what Homelander would do if he was de-powered and just became a regular man. He's lived his whole life as this god-like being and he feels like he is above everyone, so it would be funny to see how he copes with being brought down to 'our' level. It would ruin him psychologically! Also it would be funny to see him get beaten up by some 'regular' shmuck like Frenchie or MM (or even a 'weak' supe like The Deep lol), because without his power, he's probably a bit of a pussy!

I reckon they'll wreck him psychologically to the point that he kills himself. That seems like his biggest vulnerability; his vanity, his desperation, his neediness. And maybe if you push him over the edge, he takes everyone with him! And that would be very bad. And probably not a risk worth taking. But considering, say, he promised Butcher they'd fight to the death, and Butcher is dying of his own accord now, I can envision that the end for Homelander really is that he loses his will to live.

I really want to see Butcher take the rest of Kimiko’s permanent V. Even if the temp stuff does him in eventually, I want to see him hulking out again

I don't think throwing Homelander into space is a good option - although I don't think he's completely like Superman, who can travel into space freely, Homelander can fly at very high altitudes that a normal person wouldn't be able to breathe at and he's said to Stan Edgar "you should see the view from space." My assumption is that he can hold his breath for a ridiculously long time.

My current theory is that, because Soldier Boy’s energy blast is infused with high levels of radiation as he’s basically now a nuclear reactor, that those levels of radiation is what de-powers a supe. If that’s the case, then maybe a nuclear bomb could de-power Homelander, even if it may not kill him outright. Maybe the boys can build a dirty bomb, encased in zinc so HL doesn’t know what it is, and get it close enough to him to detonate

As a representative for the United States of america I’d like to answer Masons question of what the soldier boy “Disco Talent Show” was. In the 1970’s-early 80’s networks were expanding and needed programming. An easy in creative way networks would get ratings was have celebrities come on and cover their older songs or other famous songs in a disco version. Him doing this with Stranger Things legend Paul Reiser is a way of poking fun at the terrible/lazy network tricks of television studios back in the day. And that’s Robbie’s one bit of news.

The ear is vulnerable because of how well he can hear. The rod in the ear just increased the conduction to the ear drum (no penetration). Combine a conductive rod with the high pitch super loud sound and I think you can take him out.

If he just dies, I would consider it less satisfying than if he'd be rendered an invalid. Could you imagine if he was rendered paralyzed, trapped in a super strong body, unable to die, but also unable to live? It would be a lot like the horror of the movie Johnny Got His Gun and would be a fitting comeuppence for the character

I personally am a strong adherent to the theory that he was just lying to Maeve during the plane hijacking because actually saving the plane would have taken genuine effort and consideration on how to do it without killing everyone inside. His assertion that he cannot fly without pushing off of something, while not outright disproven yet, is extremely unlikely, as he can hover, accelerate and decelerate without the ground. In fact he decelerates to a hover to watch that plane go down, then presumably accelerates again without assistance to fly them back home. I imagine he could easily fly in space, probably even easier than in atmosphere, however it is likely he needs to breathe, so I doubt he could last in space for very long. He appears to fly at a very high mach speed though so you'd have to get him very far from earth to kill him that way, and even then we don't know if a lack of oxygen outright kills him or if he has a special supe mechanism that somehow prevents him from dying in a such a situation. I suppose its possible he flies simply by pushing himself through the atoms in the atmosphere, so maybe in that case he couldn't fly in spsce but its very unclear. Doesn't explain the hovering unless hes changing either his density or the density of the air around him.

I think they’re setting up Ryan for a Kid Miracleman scenario. He becomes an unstoppable kid that just kills anyone that goes against him, just like Homelander, which leads to Homelander being forced to kill Ryan after an epic battle.

Something of note is that Ryan’s Heat Vision crippled Stormfront, and she was shown being able to easily handle Homelanders heat vision

I love that we're just calling Stray Man Canon to the Boys Universe. The physical strength on display there too. He chucked Homelander in a bin like he was weightless.

Honestly really hope the metal straw (that’s the canon now) gave homelander some lasting affects, I would love if homelanders walking around half deaf with a ringing in his ear all season, thinking people are speaking under their breath just like soldier boy did. The shows focussed on homelanders mental degradation I think his body should start catching up, he’s been bruised, he’s been stabbed in the ear, he’s gonna be desperate if the boys can find someone to help

I dont think Homelander was being honest when he said he needed leverage to try and lift the plane in season one. Its just that it would require him to actually put in some sort of effort and exert himself, something he’s literally never done before so he just says he cant.

There was Actually a Cut Ending for Season 2 where we’d see Homelander is eyeing down Earth from Space. Not deep Space but like a bit away from Re-entry level space.

I do wonder if he's gonna have some deafness or any kind of repercussion from that ear stab. Also, what if The Deep drags him as far down into the ocean as he can? Surely he'd drown or just never be able to get out/fly out.

I would move forward with Zinc. Something about its frequency/chemistry does not go well with Homelander. So on the chance that it can poison him. The silver change in our pockets are usually 90% zinc, so its everywhere.

Use compound V on an ear of corn, hence creating the Corn of Coblin. Homelander won’t stand a chance.

I imagine that Homelander is going to completely get rid of compound V (or at least try) because he wants his family line to reign supreme. Even tho he thinks supes are better than regular people, he might see threats in the potential for letting other people get powers. Then the Boys will depower him somehow (or maybe Vaught replace Black Noir with Soldier Boy secretly) and when Homelander realizes that he has no powers but also got rid of any chance of getting those powers back he loses it.

Have Starlight's peak powers been established or does just she just get stronger and stronger the more electricity she draws from? If she was directly 'plugged into' a large nuclear reactor would she have that proportionate amount of energy to channel? If so then she could probably atomise Homelander.

Soldier Boy's blast burns out the Compound V in your system which causes you to lose your powers. Homelander and Ryan are the only 2 people we know of who were born with powers so we don't know for sure if they have Compound V in them at all or if it just intrinsic to their body. Also it would seem Starlight's power is infinite assuming she can absorb enough power. It seemed to harm her when she overcharged but if they planned the right kind of trap she could absorb a bunch of power she could potentially suicide bomb Homelander.

I'll never understand why so many people just took Homelander on his word that he couldn't lift the plane without leverage... He can fly, he literally creates his own leverage.

Well if Soldier Boy made Homelander through Vought, what are the odds that the Russians with all their "experimentations" made their own army of Soldier Boy boys. I'm sure in their endeavour to find his weak spots they searched everywhere and at least had a few extra ideas.

I think Homelander's ear has only recently become vulnerable due to his proximity to his pop's radiation leakage.

I think that the way the boys will end is diplomatically think about it , Through out the entire show it's been the idea of violence leading to more violence, translucent said that if hughie didn't kill him he could go back and live a normal life. Well hughie killed translucent and that lead him down his path of violence. So the only way I see the show ending is by reasoning with homelander hughie is supposed to be "the good guy " so I think that they have to just convince him that he needs to die or appeal to his love for ryan ( like telling him he can't live because he would raise him to be a monster and that he would never be loved sort of thing). Thats the only way I see it happening or space , space seems like a solid option.

If he has super senses, surely they can all be overwhelmed. Like if he has super vision, some super bright flashbang, for hearing extremely loud noises, lack of oxygen for breatching and stuff. Hell, even a sarin gas trap with breast milk as bait with a picture of Madelyn Stillwell.

What if A-Train ran into Homelander at his highest speed? Like that'd be one punch but a lot harder than what Soldier Boy, Butcher, or Huey could of put out.

There are still gravitational pulls in space, if adjusting his gravity is how Homelander flies. Needing an atmosphere would imply, he needs a element filled space to move through. Like swimming through water, he moves through gas.

Homelander might actually have already been in space. In his conversation with Stan Edgar, Edgar says something like "Quite a view from up here" to which Homelander response with "You should see it from up in space". So, seems to indicate that he not only can fly but already has flown in space.

He seems to take soft tissue damage (bruises, nose and eardrums) from massive and concentrated force. Punching is unlikely to get the job done because a fist is just a slower, blunter bullet, what you need is crushing damage: gouging his eyes, biting him or bear hugging him with enough force might do some lasting damage. If you could drive a spike or a power tool against his skin hard enough it might get through. Weve seen his father's skin was broken by extreme heat from butchers lasers, and he lacks a healing factor, so his jugular could be cut if a beam was reflected back at him, allowing him to bleed out. From what I know of science, if his skin is anything like metal or plastic, extreme cold would make it more brittle, and then driving a diamond tipped metal spike into it could crack the surface around it. He's not been shown to have resistance to psychic attacks from mesmer, mindstorm or Cindy, so maybe that factors in. Honestly I hope Tek Knight shows up, with actual V-based superintelligence, and puts him (or maybe ryan) to the test.

I really wish that they just let Soldier Boy do his thing and hit Homelander with the chest beam. They could’ve explained it away by saying that he didn’t fully lose his powers (which would make the fight with Maeve make more sense) or it straight up does not work on him and he just laughs his ass off and lasers people. Feels like the show really needed to justify him being alive.

Honestly, when homelander dies I worry, he’s been such a perfect villain and I’m not sure how I’ll feel seeing him go. I don’t want to see Anthony starr wheeled on screen every year to reprise the role but I love how they’ve kept him the overarching villain with minor ones the boys have to deal with, I reckon season 4 could be his last season. I know everyone now hates the comic noir twist but that scene in s3 of homelander talking down to himself makes me think a noir twist could work. But then again he has X-ray vision

The Strength of Mite Expansion isn't enough to Rip through Homelanser Cells,you know maybe he can make small injuries but if he has the resistance of The Comics he can keep going missing half of his body with his guts out.

Eric Kripke, the showrunner, said in an interview if Maeve and Homelander kept fighting, she would’ve eventually killed him. So I guess just keep sending Maeve after him, she’s somehow stronger than he is and can just stab him in the ear a bunch. Edit: Everyone saying she lost her powers, I’m very aware. Guess what? So did Kimiko and she just took more V to get it back. Kripke also said Maeve is coming back for sure, so this is still possible.

He would be able to fly in space. He generates some kind of personal gravity field, it's just not strong enough to move things as heavy as a plane.

I think the theory with Ryan being stronger than homelander holds up, when homelander lasered stormfront in season 2 he only burnt her skin, whereas when Ryan lasered her she lost an arm and almost died.

Also with the whole Space thing I think he might be fine cuz in season 3 I think he has a line along the lines of "you should see the view from space" so he's seemingly been to space
