The thing is that a lot, if people don't understand these movies, is the younger viewers that grew up with them. For a lot of people, these characters and these films ARE the x men, and they will always be the x men like the comics were to others before them
I wonder how long after they cast Humongous with the body builder guy, they thought - hmmm how likely is it that Goose survived his terrible burns, recovered to have nice smooth skin, took up bodybuilding and roids, and put on bondage gear - that they thought, I dunno George, it does seem a bit unlikely maybe we should rethink this?
George Miller did actually make a pilot of a mad max tv show, called Mad Maxine. It was based on Max's sister and was to be played by Nicole Kidman and in world was a sequel to BMX bandits, Maxine was to roam the wasteland on her BMX but Turbo Kid stole the idea.
That dean devlin "Why did everyone boo at darth vader? Reminds me of Mark Hamil questioning george about why he got no introduxtion from the extras. "Not needed, ee have the music and the angle and he is all in black. The audience will understand"
Am I the only one who thinks that the first 2 movies in this trilogy, their names should have been flipped? This one should have been called rise, and the first one with James Franco should have been called dawn? Does nobody else think that? It's always felt weird to me.
C'mon guys, Tom's War of the Worlds sucked. It's like the camera was utterly determined to stay as far away as possible from anything interesting. The other 2005 WotW was better. The 50s movie with the swan like floaters was better. Hell even the 1970s MUSICAL version was better. Oh who am I kidding. The musical version is the best. Easily.
Mad Max 1 and 2 are basically history lessons on how to not pay crew members and extras in the Australian film industry. I believe the first movie, George Miller was playing extras in flats of beer.
More than anything I'm impressed that Maso pulled out that haiku on the fly correctly. Also that he waited his whole life to make sure the Doom movie was his first movie experience.
I agree with a lot of what you said. They are just not exceptional enough to be considered a threat to anyone. Maybe the psychopaths should stay locked up for public safety but there’s just not enough reasons to keep David locked up. David Dunn could be a great help to public safety. David can’t swim because he’s too dense to stay afloat. He may be allergic to water. He should have been able to get away from the bad guys.
Off topic, but I rewatched Sleepy Hollow recently. Every time Young-Ichabod Crane came on-screen, all I could see was Young-James. I’m now beginning to suspect that James and Sam Fior are actually the same person. I mean, you never see them in the same place at the same time. I think that Sam Fior being like, 10 years younger than James is just a red herring, designed to confuse poor unsuspecting idiots. But not me! I’m onto you James, or Sam, or Mr Sunday Movies, or whatever your name is!!!!
As great as Andy serkis is as a mo-cap actor I’m happy that he actually gets to be in movies physically more now. They kinda wasted him in the MCU since Ulysses Claue got killed off super fast, but I think Alfred means he’ll be in every Batman movie that Matt Reeves makes.
“Why didn’t qui-gonn just steal from or kill watto?” Come on guys this is a bit lazy? only watched the first 15 mins but you’ve not given the film a fair shot. It deserves more than just these surface level jabs.
I love the third one it's just got so many cool ideas especially the bit where he takes that guy's staff and the bullets off a wind chime and it turns out to be a gun
