The Koulibaly deal was made because Chelsea lost both main CBs to free transfers because of the embargo and frozen funds of Abramovich. When the deal with Boehly was done and they were able to use funds again they had to get top level CBs and they had to get them quickly. The new ownership then did what Chelsea has been doing for ages before Tuchel came along: they randomly bought good players for insane amounts of money and salary and then hoped that they would perform. I don't believe that the new ownership has any idea about how to successfully run a football club and I don't believe that Chelsea's current coach will be very successful - and thus probably get removed again within the year of 2023.

As a Chelsea fan I agree about Koulibaly I was shocked when we signed him and what we paid for him. I remember he played two games against Liverpool a few seasons ago and I was expecting big things after all the hype about him but he really disappointed me. Even against England in the World Cup he didn't have a great game and he seems to get done on 1v1s all the time. In the game against Forest their attacking player had him on toast for the whole and he couldn't compete. So, how is meant to compete against the top players?

Hey Alfie, you should do a video on the rise and fall of Portuguese team Belenenses-SAD or B-SAD. They were a team which was only founded in 2018 and, played in the Portuguese first division last season, but are now being faced with relegation from the second division. They have a interesting history, although rather short, and i’m sure you could turn their story into a very interesting video.
